Summary: Post Epi 'Brand X'. Mulder is smoking...Scully finds out. A very very short oneshot.

No Smoking
„Hello again...I just forgot- Mulder, what the hell are you doing?" I said wide-eyed as I stepped into the office.
I was just about to drive home, when I noticed that I didn't have my car keys. I must have forgotten them on the desk, so I went back into the office.
„I...um..." Mulder stuttered, trying to hide something behind his back.
„You are smoking" I said a little disappointed.
„Yeah..." He nodded and showed me his cigarette. I shook my head in disbelief.
„Why are you doing this, Mulder? I asked him calmly.
„I think I just need it..." He answered.
„No, you don't, Mulder! Come on, that's stupid and you know it"
„You are right, Scully...but-"
„No 'buts', Mulder!" I cut him off and walked towards him. I took the cigarette out of his hand and opened the window and threw it out. I closed the window again and gave Mulder a smile.
„Where is it?" I asked him.
„What do you mean?"
„Where is the cigarette packet?"
„I um...I don't know" He told me. I sighed.
„Don't play dumb, Mulder. Do you really wanna start smoking? Think about it. I'm off. See you tomorrow..." I say and turned around.
„They are in the lowest drawer..." He finally told me. I smiled and turned to look at him. Without saying anything I went to the drawer and took out the cigarette packet. Without hesitation I bunged it in the bin. I walked towards Mulder and took his hand in mine. I gave it a squeeze and smiled, as he squeezed back.
„No smoking anymore, Mulder?"
„No smoking anymore, Scully"
