A Horrible Reality

War is a very scary experience, she had heard others said. It was a happening that started like a forest fire; ignited by a small spark, escalades into an unstoppable flame engulfing everything in its path. A war spares no one, one of her mediums had told her. It takes away valuables, snuffs out lives; men, women, children, old folks. It exhausts a nation's resources, and makes its people suffer. War is a time where morality and values are set aside. Survival is the only instinct alive. People lost their humanity. Leaders lost their sense of benign. War crimes, tortures, assassinations and killings, all done in the name of defending one's nation, or beliefs. However, the gentle red haired girl told her, that there are still hope; there are still people who sincerely believed in bringing peace; in saving lives; in ending the war with less casualties as possible. Is it true, she asked. Yes, was the girl's confident, concrete reply, even when she had seen the worst during the Second War; even when she was nearly fighting her sister, because they were on different sides. She was a young girl not older than 13 when the first war started. Yet she had seen a lot more, compared to her, who had lived past several centuries, yet never saw much of the world, since they would only be awaken solely to continue the Alice Game; sleeping through all those waves of terror that actually swept the world once; twice; many many times. The Rozen Maiden's many years of uneventful existence can never compare to the girl's young life that witnessed great changes and happenings that shaped the world and its people. The Rozen Maiden's life only revolves around the Alice Game, where sister fought against sister, to please their father. This is cruel, the girl replied, however. Sisters share a special bond that makes them even closer than close friends; blood-related or not. The destruction of one will affect the other; and to stand up to one another will take up 10 times the courage of a mighty warrior. One who could kill her own sister in cold blood is as worse as any Blue Cosmos terrorist or Zala extremist.

Suiseiseki finds that war is indeed horrible; but Meyrin thinks that the Alice Game is an even more brutal reality than all the wars in the world's history.

Meyrin and Suiseiseki; Meyrin explaining their current situation and reality to the Rozen Maiden... Is the using of 'she' and 'her' a bit confusing?
