The Mystery Behind Gooby Floob

Life had never been kind to the one known as Gooblina Gertrude Mabel Floob. The Floob name was once a proud name, full of people that done amazing things; the first humans to eat bugs, the first with a desire to go into battle naked (which caught on in Greece for their Olympics), the first to decree that people should only eat fish on Friday's, and the first to realise aliens existed. But then again, the Floobs looked like aliens, so no one was really surprised with the latter.

She had a normal enough childhood; was taught the art of seduction from a goose, how to socialise from her friend, the lonesome squirrel, and of course, everything else from her favourite movie, "Species". The Floobs were known to just do whatever they pleased on the earth – they weren't aliens, but no one seemed to really want to attempt to make friends with this family. Most of the Floobs went about their business within the family, being oddly pleasant with other people, keeping to themselves, and whilst doing things not considered "normal", not doing anything to harm other people. But not Gooby. Gooby decided to do something that only her own mind would consider to be right: procreate.

"Species" was about an alien with the aim to procreate more aliens, and then murder the "hosts". And whilst Gooby had no interest in murder, the goal of that alien intrigued her. Sure, she had no desire for romance, and actually having a partner, but to have an army of children; this is something that she dreamed of since she was 4. A toddler. This desire overtook her life, through her education. She was called into the principal's office many times for trying to force the male students into a bush with her, and eventually put into an institute to gain private education.

Soon, even her abnormal family thought she was too weird. She began to lose contact with them; her extended family, her grandparents, her siblings, eventually, her parents. She had no one to talk to by the time she got let out. Nothing of her own. Except her dream. Her goal. Her desire. Her baby army.

She saved every last penny she had from her science skills (especially in biology and chemistry), her work as a call centre, and her time in the circus (apparently, people liked to make fun of her face.) And although Gooby was born without the ability to show many emotions, this did please her. She chose her hideout; Willow Creek. An advertisement for another housemate. For two people. Bob and Eliza Pancakes. She knew her first victim.

Her taxi rang. In the only clothing she owned, a white towel (she sold almost all her clothing to pay for her travel, and moving costs), she greeted her cab driver. She moved away. Trees and lakes passed her by.

She was ready. Ready for the only thing that mattered to her: baby army.
