Summary: It's terrible to ignore your wife's phone calls after a fight, but it's even worse to ignore the mother of your child's calls. Here is a different set of voice mails that Chris could have been ignoring during 7x13 "I'd Rather Be In Philadelphia."

"Rory's in the hospital, John Skinner Medical Center. I don't know the whole story yet, but apparently there was a car accident, and… I'm on my way there now, and uh, Chris… God, answer your phone."

"Chris, it's me again. Uh… I'm at the hospital now, and Rory's in serious but stable condition. She's going in for some more tests now. They're moving her out of the ER now, and I don't know where we'll be when you get this, so just, please call me when you get this… madly speeding in your race to get here. Right?"

"It's me again. I guess you didn't get my other messages, because, you know, you would've called me back if you had… We're still at the hospital, and Rory's having surgery. It's not overly serious, but… it's surgery, Chris. She looks so small and hurt, and I just, I really need you here, Chris. She's your daughter."

"Rory's out of surgery. She's fine, but it got bad for a while. She's in pain, and she's going to need rehab, and this is just so bad, Chris… She could've died. We could've lost her, and you should be here.
"It's not something you ignore - your daughter being in a major car accident, just because you've had a fight with your wife. I know you're upset, but Rory's your daughter, and she needs you, especially now. Everyone's been here for her, the entire town, and you can't even be bothered to answer your phone.
"She needs you… I need you. I'm your wife, and we're fighting, but this is bigger than that, and I need you here. My daughter's father isn't here for her. My husband isn't here. And that's not okay, Chris, you know? It's not okay."

"Rory's awake. She asked me where you are. Where are you, Chris? Why are you never here?"

Author's Note: When I was watching "I'd Rather Be in Philadelphia," I thought Chris a jerk and a seriously horrible husband. But when he said he had turned off his phone because they had had a fight, all I could think was how much worse it could've been if Lorelai had been calling to tell him something had happened to Rory.
