Its early morning and here I am, sitting on the dining table of my house waiting for breakfast to be served. Leah has just returned from her night shift and making the breakfast.
Mom moved in with Charlie just before the near battle with the Volturi and all responsabilities of our house came to Leah's shoulder. Though I tried my best to help but between school, daily pack meetings, patrol and other works, I found myself unable to. Honestly, Leah has busier schedule than mine but god only knows how she manages college, pack business, taking care of me and the house and her part time job as an account's manager at a large shop.
"Seth! Come in the kitchen, breakfast is ready".
As I switched off the television and went to the kitchen to eat, Leah immediately started serving me a bunch of pancakes with a carton of orange juice and then served her own plate and sat down to eat.
"Tuck in", said Leah and I started eating.
"Seth just eat with your mouth closed and use your knife and fork and bite only as much as you can swallow!!" said Leah after I choked on my food.
The rest of the lunch passed in silence as I moved back to the living room and Leah started cleaning dishes.
I resumed my musings.
Leah may be strict and act like a bitch but she had a soft corner for those whom she loved and was very protective of them. I still remember when I was in 5th grade and some older boys tried to bully me and Leah had broken the pulp out of them. When some boys had tried to hit on Emily on one of their shopping trips, Leah hadn't hesitated in punching them.
Leah has also been economically self dependent since her senior year in high school. She pays her own fees for online classes she takes with the Washington States Uni.
Really, Leah has heled around the house since she was small. She went with Dad for fishing, helped mom in cooking, did girly stuff with Emily and practically raised me because of mom being at Forks hospital for her job. When she was dating Sam, she used to take care of him and his mother whenever needed.
Leah was and is like the Backbone of our family.
I was forced out of my musings by a cuff on my head by Leah.
"You are so good person and big sister Leah", I said absently and Leah stared funny at me.
