Best Left Unsaid

Ike walked up to his father, who was waiting in the adjacent room. He said with confidence, "Father, there's something I need to tell you about."

Greil was all ears. He asked, "What is it Ike?"

"I'd prefer not to tell you while Soren is in earshot…" Ike said, with Soren sitting on the other side of the room reading a book.

"Very well," Greil said, "Soren, leave us now!"

Soren looked up from the book and picked it up, and he left the room. Ike then told his father calmly and collectedly, "I… have feelings for another man."

Greil laughed and laughed. Then he said, "Oh, wait. Were you serious?"

Ike gulped. "Yes," he said, unsure now. Greil's eyes went dark, and the room turned dark red. Fire emitted from Greil's nose, and he showed an array of sharp, white teeth.

He grew to tower over Ike and he yelled, "IKE! IKE! YOU LITTLE PIECE OF CRAP!"

Ike ran over and hid behind a table, which Greil immediately burned to a crisp with his mouth. He found Ike, and picked him up in his right hand. Mist stood right behind Greil screaming, "Father! Put Ike down!" Greil defenestrated her with his elbow, and as she crashed to the ground she screamed bloody murder.

Soren walked into the room and nearly collapsed from terror. Ike said to him, "Help! My father is going to…"

Before Ike could finish that sentence, Greil stomped on Soren, crushing him to death. "No!!" Ike screamed, tears in his eyes.

Greil roared at Ike and burned him to a crisp. Then he put him in his mouth, chewed him up good and swallowed him.

Ike looked around at Soren sitting serenely reading a book, and noticed how beautiful he was. But there was no real need to let his father know. After all, some things are better left unsaid.

Author's Note: I really don't think that Greil would react in the way he did here. But Ike might think that.
