The lions
Once upon a time, it was said
That the lioness gave birth
To a fair and youthful maid,
To a knight full with laughter and mirth.
The maid had locks made of the sun's light
With eyes like the forest in the summer,
Her skin was pure and white,
Her lips were one of a lover.
When she looked into thy eyes,
Whispering her sweet, poisonous lies,
Thou love them with thy heart
Queen of pain, take thy part.
The laughing knight held her
Too close to his heart and soul.
In the stars was written a great path
For the noble lion, not for murder most foul.
She dreamed of the fantast dragon,
She graved his fire and blood,
But the dragon's weakness was a she wolf.
Wild and fierce, she stole the maid's prince.
The maid's love was gone
And she was sorrowful and alone.
Queen of dead dreams,
She cried to the stars and begged the sun,
But for her, the love was gone…
She fought her heart and she won!
The lion-knight forgot his name
And he welcomed the white…
But his blade was dark with blood.
He forgot his name, but never his heart!
He served his maid's lord,
But he dreamed of a day,
When another king's blood
Will adorn his sword.
He loved his queen
He loved her great,
But the lioness loved their love more,
Than his love alone.
Three more lions were born.
The first, cruel and proud
Was killed, the murderer wasn't caught.
The foolish king wasn't missed nor morn.
The second was a lioness,
Beautiful, but clueless.
The little one became a king
Child on a throne,
What else can he bring,
More than suffering?
