"Is there anything you want?" the old, grizzled man asks. He slaps his gnarled hand on the counter, trying to get the young woman's attention. He growls and repeats, "Is there anything you want?"

The girl is of Asian heritage and is wearing a snug, golden jacket. Its bright color looks out of place in the gloomy bar. Her black hair is up in a strange bun with a series of colored pins. She sneers at the man and replies, "What about a beer?"

The man stares at her for a moment. "You're underage," he grunts. He turns away to get something from under the counter. She waits to see if he gives in that easily. He turns around and holds out a bottle of water. "That's all ye'll be getting around here." An amused pout on her face, the girl, a mutant, takes the bottle and takes a dollar out of her pocket.

"You take American money, right?" she says, but she doesn't wait for an answer. She unscrews it and takes a long sip, draining half the bottle. She wipes droplets from her lips with the back of her hand. "I'm looking for someone. Tall, funny hair-do. Got here a week ago?" The man nods in recognition and points to a corner of the bear where a man, over thirty, drinks a beer.

She frowns slightly and pulls the black leather gloves tightly over her hands. She sashays over to the table and slides into a chair across from the man. At first, he doesn't seem to even notice her. That is, until he rubs his eyes with his hands and says, "Jubilee. What are ya doin here? Go back to school."

Jubilee shakes her head. "Can't. I've got to get you," she replies, pointing to him on the last word.

"Why?"

She shrugs. "Storm sent me. Said there's something you need to be there for." It is quiet for a few minutes as Wolverine chugs down a bottle. "What are you doing back here anyway? We all thought you would stick around."

"I was thinking about it," Wolverine answers, slamming the bottle back down on the table. The brown glass shatters. A few people playing pool look up and eye the two suspiciously. The man draws back his lips, revealing sharp teeth. They look away. "Just needed a break, that's all. A whole year sitting around, teaching fighting tactics. Gets a little repetitive. I was planning on comin back. But if Storm is going to keep sending babysitters…maybe I won't."

"You know the Brotherhood has reorganized."

"So what? They can't do anything without Magneto anyway."

"They've found a new leader."

"Oh ya? Who?"

Jubilee does not have an answer. She shakes her head, looking away. She watches the pool players, only mildly interested. "Logan…"

"Professor, Logan."

She smirks and says, "Professor Logan. Storm says she knows of a way to get Jean back." He looks at her over the rim of his bottle, pretending not to care. "Xavier, too, but I thought you might be more interested in your forbidden love."
