Till I Met You

The world out was waiting,

It was calling my name.

But through the black that cursed me from seeing

I could not help but to find it hard believing

I sat in that corner,

Wanting something so true.

So lonely and cold,

So rigid and blue.

I needed some light

I needed a dream

A dream that I had to believe would come true

You gently shake me open and what I saw I knew,

Was what I truly needed- what I needed was you.

You took me by the hand

And you pulled me for a ride

You took me on a journey

I could not believe my eyes

I thought I'd seen it all.

But my eyes did not deceive me,

The colors I couldn't see before,

A rainbow burst out freely.

When I thought I would fall from the sky,

When I thought times like this meant goodbye

You would swoop down and catch me

You untangled me free.

I felt like soaring through the sky

It's endless skirts so blue

Hand in hand we sail so true

I'm so in love with you

These feelings painted with my heart

Helped me recover from my pitch-black past

I once was alone and lost in the dark

But as soon as I met you,

My dream came true at last.
