"So,
where is your goon squad?"
"I
don't know, they got families or something."
She laughed at this. "So, where are we going today?"
"Wherever you want to go."
"Then take me to the sky."
"I'm sorry, us devils don't have wings."
"Then today you can be an angel with me." She grabbed his
arm and led him through the field of flowers.
"Rinoa, where are we going?"
"To the sky." She led him across the field and into the
trees. "Look," she said. She pointed to the other side of the trees.
"What is it?"
"Go see." Seifer pushed his way through the branches. He
saw a beautiful lake on the other side that stretched as far as the eye could
see. "Oh, I see." He turned around to face Rinoa, and she pushed him backwards
into the lake.
He grabbed the laughing Rinoa in with him. "See how you
like that!"
"The perfect end to a
perfect summer." Rinoa said, looking up at the stars.
"I wish this night would never end."
"Me too. But we have to leave tomorrow. You to school, me
to wherever the wind takes me."
"Here." Seifer put something in Rinoa hand. "Something to
remember the summer by."
Rinoa held it up. The ring was plain silver with a little
design going around it. It shone in the moonlight. "You're ring…"
"Keep it. Remember this night, this summer."
"I'll wear it next to my heart, where you'll always be."
She unclasped the chain she was wearing and threaded it through the ring. She
put the necklace back on.
"If you ever need me, I'm just a hop, skip and a Garden
away."
"I'll keep that in mind."
**Note: No, I don't write like this. I don't know why I wrote this either. I think Seifer should die instead of have a good time. Rinoa obviously didn't go for personality. Anyway, flame this if you want. Don't forget to tell the person holding my e-mail account hostage to back off and give me my passwords back.
