AN: okay so this is my first fanfic that's not based off a Johnny Depp movie and my first nightmare before Christmas fanfic. So please no flames! If you don't like it don't review.
Chapter 1
Jack skeleton and sally waited outside of Dr. finklesteins laboratory half excited and half nervous. Just a month ago they had asked the scientist to make them a child, the same way he'd made sally.
After weeks of planning blue prints and picking out materials and threads, it was hard to believe their new child would be there in just a few minutes. While sally was pacing around nervously, jack was thinking of back when Dr. finklestien was showing them the blue prints to their new child just a few weeks ago. When he'd asked them if they wanted a boy or a girl, they both looked at each other smiled and said "surprise us!"
Then the scientist finally came out of the operating room on his wheelchair and announced "it is done."
"Fantastic!" exclaimed jack.
"When can we see it?" asked sally excited.
"Right now, it's still asleep, but it will be awake soon" said the doctor.
"Come sally" said jack pulling her gently to the laboratory.
They walked into the lab slowly to see their new child laying on a metal work table, a light hanging above her like a spotlight. It appeared to be a girl with long black hair and stiches in a few places on her arms and legs. She had pale skin and couldn't have been no older than five. To sally and jack she was perfectly beautiful in every way.
"Jack, what should we call her?" asked sally.
"You pick a name" said jack.
After two minutes of thinking sally decided "twilight. Twilight hollow skeleton."
"That's perfect." Jack said kissing her forehead and hugging her close.
Twilight's P.O.V
I could hear footsteps, someone was coming in, more than one by the sound of it. I felt a hot light on my face, I didn't like it I wanted it to be dark, I liked the dark.
Just then a sweet soft voice asked "jack, what should we call her?"
Who's jack? I thought.
"You pick a name" a strong voice replied.
Oh, that's jack! I thought.
"Twilight. Twilight hollow skeleton." Said the other voice proudly.
"That's perfect!" exclaimed jack.
Just then I felt a tingling in my face I looked up to see a blinding flash of light, I squinted my eyes. I felt to sets of hands grab both my arms and help me sit up. One set of hand felt warm and soft like cloth, the other like cold dry sticks.
I sat up and blinked recovering from the blinding light and looked at the two people smiling at me. I stared and they stared back, I finally decided to try smiling back at them. The corners of my mouth stared to twitch and then I got both corners to stick up and I smiled.
"Can you talk?" asked the women happily.
"t-t-t-talk?" I asked.
They both nodded.
"Say "hello mama and daddy" the man said. I guess he was jack.
I nodded and tried "h- h- hello…mmm-mama and d-daddy!"
"Oh!" the women breathed and ran over and clasped her arms around me.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh" she breathed crying "I'm hugging you, it's how I show that I love you."
"Does he love me too?" I asked pointing to jack.
"Yes, of course" said jack kneeling down to me.
I didn't know at the time what 'love' meant but I think I liked it. It gave me a nice burning feeling in my chest. I looked to the two people and couldn't help but smile again.
I liked to smile too.
