-This takes place in an AU, where Madeline and Amelia have been through some shit-
Madeline was drearily walking home from work, in the freezing cold rain. How typical. She hated rain, and it didn't help that she was in a bad mood. Her charred, short hair virtually stuck to the sides of her face, and her trousers were dragging along in the puddles. Water seeped into her shoes and her metal leg was short circuiting. Wonderful.
She slammed open the door, and stormed into the cozy building she called home. "I'M BACK!" She called, hanging up her sodden coat, and draining her hair onto the doormat. She rubbed her white eye, accidentally touching the painful scar across her face, earning herself a hiss of pain. "Hey! I left some fries in the microwave!" Came the reply of a sweet, bubbly voice. Oh how she loved that voice. It belonged to her sister Amelia, and, although she had been hiding it well, was deeply in love with her.
She knew incest was frowned upon, but if her father married her little brother, why couldn't she love her sister?
Making her way into the kitchen, she examined what cool little knickknacks her sister had brought in today. On the side she could see nothing new but an old music box. She carefully opened it, and there was a little ballerina spinning. God Save The Queen chimed melodically. She smiled. Amelia was so cute. She opened the microwave, grabbing the box of microwave fries. She ate them all hungrily, licking the salt from her lips. Maddie chucked the box in the bin, then went upstairs to see Amelia. "What's up, Amy?" Her sister was on her X-Box, in a rather unladylike position. Maddie, personally, thought it was adorable. In her opinion, Amelia was the one perfect thing in her little world. And she would give up anything to save her. She sat at the end of the bed and watched.
Hours seemed to fly by as she stared. Not at the screen, but at Amelia. Her face, her legs, her cute dainty hands. She loved everything about her. Yet, she knew that Amelia would never feel the same way. Amelia was married, much to Maddie's dismay. To Ivan. She had made excuses for hurting Ivan, like he had betrayed her love. But, all in all, she just wanted to get closer to her sister. Next thing she knew, they had both fallen asleep.
