A/N: Well... my first work posted in here. Inspired by another fic I found, where Gin thinks for a moment if he should escape from Aizen's plans and take Izuru with him.
I don't know if I got Ichimaru's accent right - I tried to. But English isn't my native language.
Disclaimer: Plain and simple; I don't own Bleach.
Kira closed his eyes. It's been already a month since he esc--he was taken by Gin to Earth. And yet, he couldn't fully believe that the time has passed so fast - hell, he still wasn't used to this strange gigai!
'Yeah', crossed his mind, 'the gigai.'
The faux bodies they both inhabited, the ones that former 12th division captain Urahara made them, were indeed untraceable - even that orange-haired ryoka boy couldn't feel any difference between them and an ordinary human - but every luxury has its price. The blond vice-captain soon learned that the gigai drains his spirit power, little by little.
'It's probably the same that happened to captain Kuchiki's sister,' he assured himself.
And the living world itself was way more interesting than he thought - even despite temporary living in Urahara Shop with those two crazy kids always running around.
If it was even possible before, Kira started feeling a bit happy. He had protested, of course, in Seireitei he had work and friends and-- no, he wouldn't have his captain anymore. And if the only way to stay with him - far, far from Aizen, from Tousen, from others - was slowly becoming human again, the blond lieutenant was determined to walk this way.
"Whadd'ya doin', Izuru?" a cheerful voice tore him away from his thoughts.
"Huh? Ah, nothing, cap-- Gin-sama," the silver-haired man tried all that time to make Kira call him by his name, and still wasn't too happy to hear that the younger settled with calling him '-sama' - after all, now they were equal. "Just thinking a bit."
Kira felt an arm being thrown around his shoulders, when Ichimaru settled down beside him. The silver-haired captain still smiled nearly all the time, but seemed to become a bit more gentle - maybe the cause was freedom from being Aizen's puppet, or the "new" life they both had begun - and the blond boy wasn't afraid to lean into the embrace anymore.
"It's a bit cold tonight, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is."
Gin sighed in slight disapproval.
"Izuru... even if it were thirty degrees, ya'd still agree with me, right?"
"Yes... no, I mean, it's cold because it is!" Kira replied fast, blushing a bit. He still wasn't used to question what his captain said - besides, autumn was coming, and the nights indeed became a bit colder. He heard Gin laughing softly, and felt a pair of warm lips being pressed to his hair.
"Come inside," the silver-haired man stood and helped him to do so too. "You'll catch a cold."
