He's Just Seen Her Face
I've just seen a face,
I can't forget the time or place
Where we just met.
She's just the girl for me
And I want all the world to see
We've met, mmm-mmm-mmm-m'mmm-mmm.
I've never seen anyone so gorgeous or vivacious…no woman had ever been so open to me...other than Jamie, of course.I couldn't figure out why she wasn't afraid of me – most women were. They see me and flee. It was obnoxious, but I'd learned to live with it. But this woman, she didn't back down. Even when she did something embarrassing she didn't hide from me.
Had it been another day
I might have looked the other way
And I'd have never been aware.
But as it is I'll dream of her
Tonight, di-di-di-di'n'di.
I couldn't stop thinking about her. I wasn't even looking for a relationship. I hadn't been looking for a relationship since I was a teenager – my job doesn't lend itself to relationships. But I couldn't stop thinking about her.
Falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.
Every time she calls me I run to her like a dog after a steak. I can't help it.
I have never known
The like of this, I've been alone
And I have missed things
And kept out of sight
But other girls were never quite
Like this, di-di-di-di'n'di.
Like I said before, women don't generally like me. They say I'm "fine" and "gorgeous", but they don't approach. And I usually don't make the effort. This woman though, she was different. She was horrendously open to the prospect of doing "the nasty".
Falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.
Falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.
I've just seen a face,
I can't forget the time or place
Where we just met.
She's just the girl for me
And I want all the world to see
We've met, mmm-mmm-mmm-di'n'di
Lula was definitely the most unforgettable person I've ever met.
Falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.
Oh, falling, yes I am falling,
And she keeps calling
Me back again.
Let's hope she keeps calling.
"Tank, you've got a goofy smile on your face," Jamie said beside me, "What, or WHO, exactly are you thinking about?"
I grinned at her. "I think you can guess."
Jamie did a fake flattered wave. "Oh Tanky-poo, I didn't know you thought about me like that!"
I glared and smacked her in the head.
"OW! Fine! Gosh, so Lula's your one true love, jeez."
"Damn right."
