I feel like I'm the only girl that watches and loves Date A Live... Anyway, welcome to my fanfic! I hope I do well with this. Since this is genderbent, this is considered a Reverse Harem. I also changed everyone's names. Shido's female name will be Shiori because it's just a genderbent name. I know about the trap though, let me tell you. The rest will be revealed during the story. Meanwhile, enjoy and review!
*EDIT of 8/20/17: Sooooo, I'm going to rewrite all these chapters to fit my new writing style because it was voted the most!*
30 years ago, a massive spacequake attacked Eurasia. There were 150 million deaths in this terrible and unprecedented incident. And now...
Episode 1: April 1X-Part 1
"Waaaaaake up~!" sung a young male voice as I felt some feet dancing on my bed.
It was my little brother, Kouta, giving me the worst wake-up call ever. He was laughing, dancing, and jumping onto my bed. I tried to stay under my covers. I didn't want the wake-up call. EVER. I was SO tired! "Oh, Kouta..." I muttered. "My cute otouto..."
"Oh!" he interjected. "What is it, my dear onee-san?" Kouta had short pink hair and matching eyes. His skin was fair and he was wearing his school uniform: a white and blue long-sleeved sailor's top with a dark blue tie and dark blue pants. He didn't wear shoes at the moment, only his black socks. Also, he was 14, yet looks 12 and he wears a white bracelet on his right wrist all the time. It was his birthday gift from me.
"Get off of me!" I demanded. "You're too heavy!" He jumped off, but gave my stomach a hard flying down kick. I coughed in pain. Yep, such a wonderful little brother...
He laughed. "You said 'Caagh'!" Annoying little boy...
Tired of him doing his wake-up call, I covered myself with my covers once again. "Why are you going back to sleep?!" he asked, being playfully mad. I felt him crouch next to me and grabbing the edge of my covers. He was trying to take the covers off. "Wake up! Wake up! Wake up, onee-san!" I decided to do something to scare him off so I could get more sleep.
I said in a raspy voice, "Run away...Kouta..." He stopped tugging my sheets.
"Eh?" I could tell he was confused.
"I've contracted the...'Ten more minutes of sleep or else my brother goes to Tickle Hell' virus...or the 'T-virus' for short..."
Kouta shot up, looking petrified. "Wh-what did you say?!" I felt his feet shaking on my bed. I evilly grinned.
"Run away, Kouta! I'm trying to control myself..."
"B-but what will happen to you, onee-san?!"
"A-as long as you're safe, Kouta, I don't care what happens to me! H-hurry!"
"But...onee-san!" I threw my covers off of me, made a scary face, and roared ferociously at little Kouta. He was scared, shaking like a leaf and screaming. He cried and quickly ran away. I twitched my head to his direction, still having my scary face. I massaged my face and sighed, making my face its normal self. "Well, that's that," I said to myself.
I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Shiori. Itsuka Shiori. I'm 16 years old and have long blue hair with usually 2-3 decorative clips on the side and brown eyes. I also have fair skin, like Kouta does. I'm Kouta's adoptive big sister, just so you know. Me and him aren't related by blood at all, but that didn't stop either of us from acting like we are siblings. Even though he can be annoying, he's my cute, innocent little brother. I couldn't hate him for that! That was why I felt kinda bad for scaring him off like that. Plus, I didn't feel like sleeping anymore, so I decided to get up.
I got myself dressed into my school uniform: a white formal shirt with a skinny red bow tie on it and a sandy-colored vest that went over it, a blue skirt with dark blue stripes at the bottom, medium white socks, and brown loafers. After that, I went downstairs to the kitchen. Though I was still a little drowsy, breakfast always wakes me up. As I entered the kitchen, I saw poor little Kouta hiding in front of the couch.
"I'm scared...th-the T-virus...it's scary...I don't want to go to Tickle Hell..." he whimpered out. Yes, it was pretty weird for a 14-year-old boy to act like this, but it's cute. So cute, I decided to torture him a little more, despite me feeling sorry for him. I made an evil grin and quietly crawled to him. Then I roared at him again, which made him scream and lean against the wall, shivering a lot and breathing rapidly. I giggled before stopping myself.
"Calm down," I said reassuringly. "It's just me."
"O-onee-san..." Kouta muttered, sniffling.
I smiled warmly at him and raised my hand up. "Not scary, not scary. I am Kouta's friend." He stopped shivering and smiled his brightest smile. He nodded.
"Yeah!" Now that feeling disappeared. I couldn't help but continue to smile at him, being so cute and all.
...
Later, I was cooking breakfast and Kouta was watching the news. According to the reporter, there was another spacequake early this morning in Tengu City, a city near ours. There was slight damage though, so that was good. Scientists were still investigating how spacequakes are caused. "Another one, huh?" I asked. "Sounds like it's nearby."
"Yep," Kouta agreed.
I'll inform you on something. Spatial-quakes, or "spacequakes", are the widespread vibration phenomena of unknown causes. Like the name, the space vibrates by itself. It's a disaster that destroys anything around it. I have told you about that massive one 30 years ago. After that, spacequakes happen all over the world for six months. Here in Japan, the Great Southern Kantou Spatial Quake razed the area near where I live. Nothing happened after that. But then, five years ago, they reappeared in Tengu City. That made the number of spacequakes increase. Their reappearance also centered in Japan. Really, it was a scary situation, but I tried to keep my calm about it whenever it happens.
"Hey, don't you think there's a lot of those lately?" I asked my little brother.
"Yeah," he replied. He said in an almost audible voice, "This is happening a little earlier than planned..." I looked puzzled when I heard that. I wondered what he meant by-
I spotted a lollipop in his mouth...while I was cooking breakfast?! I marched to him and said, "Hey! No sweets before a meal, young man!" Kouta shot back and opened his mouth, revealing the blueberry lollipop. I tried to get it out from his mouth, but it was impossible. He kept it tight in his mouth as I tried to pull it out in different directions. Seeing that it was impossible to remove it from his mouth, I sighed in defeat and let go of the stick.
"Make sure you eat your breakfast, okay?" I asked.
He got the lollipop out of his mouth and smiled. "Sure! I love you, onee-san!" I always let him get away with things. Why? Because he was just so adorable. I know, I keep saying that, but it's true. I'd let him get away with anything, to be honest.
...
After we both ate our breakfast, I asked him what he should have for lunch. He answered, "A Deluxe Kids Special!" I know that dish, but it was from a diner we went to often.
"That's from the diner, Kouta," I stated, frowning a little. "You need to eat something NOT from a restaurant." Plus, that dish was expensive, yet my little brother loved it sooooo much...
He pouted. "WHAT?!" He began to plead, "Please? Pretty please with sprinkles on top? PLEASE..." He made that cute little face of his. "Onee-san?" I couldn't resist when he does that and he knew it, so I replied, "Fine..." I ate a piece of toast. See? I wasn't wrong before.
Kouta and I left home and walked to the diner. Kouta was getting really excited for that meal...a little too excited. He was singing, "Deluxe Kids Special~, Deluxe Kids Special~, eating in a diner~..." I sweat-dropped before we both arrived there.
"Then I'll wait for you here after school, onee-san!" Kouta said happily.
"Alright," I replied nonchalantly.
"Make sure you don't break that promise! We'll eat here even if terrorists come in!"
I sweat-dropped again. Was he serious? "If terrorists came in, we wouldn't eat..." But I smiled anyway and patted his head. "But don't worry, just be careful on the way to school."
Normal P.O.V
3 boys saw Shiori patting her little brother's head. The leader had shoulder-length brownish-yellow hair with black and red clips on the left side of his head with matching eyes, the second guy had short brown hair with matching eyes, and the last guy had short black hair with glasses and matching eyes. All of them were wearing the male school uniform: a white formal shirt with a dark blue tie with light blue and black stripes on them and a black formal jacket over it, gray formal pants, white socks, and black loafers. "Isn't that Itsuka?" the leader said, looking indifferent.
"They get along too well," added the brown-haired guy, looking a bit squeamish. "I guess the rumors of her brother-complex are true."
"That's so lame," stated the last guy.
Shiori's P.O.V
Kouta grabbed his bag and began to leave. "Don't forget! Make sure to keep that promise! Meet here even if there's going to be a spacequake!" he stated.
"Alright, alright," I replied as I gestured him to go. "Just go to school already." He nodded as he left, the both of us waving goodbye at each other. I smiled once again. I always loved my little brother...as my little brother, of course. I'd do almost anything for him.
I suddenly felt a hand grab my wrist, startling me. "Good morning, Itsuka-chan!" a feminine voice greeted. I turned and saw someone I knew.
"Uh...hey, Tonomachi..." I greeted back nervously, sighing in relief that it wasn't some weird girl grabbing me.
Tonomachi smiled and placed her hands on her hips. "Glad to see you're starting the semester in top condition!" Tonomachi Hitomi was one of my friends. She had short black hair and black eyes. She's 16, like I was, and also pretty energetic, much like Kouta. I don't know exactly when we became friends, but she was someone I didn't mind hanging out with at school.
Normal P.O.V
The leader of the three boys said, "Well, there's a rumor about her too." He crossed his arms.
"I heard Tonomachi swings both ways..." added the second guy, crossing his arms as well.
"That's so lame..." finished the last guy. The leader sighed before seeing a guy around Shiori's age hiding behind a pole, watching the two girls, almost as if he were stalking them, at least, to the leader. He had white hair in a low and short ponytail with a few blue clips on it, sky blue eyes, and fair skin. He left the pole after a few seconds.
"What's wrong?" asked the second boy of the trio, noticing the leader looking at the pole.
The leader blinked. "I think I saw the Super Genius," he said, a bit unsure. The brown-haired guy looked at his direction.
"That's so lame," the last boy said...again as he looked at his direction as well. What was the "Super Genius" doing anyway?
And there you go. The first chapter to this. How was it? Constructive criticism is welcome, but no hate, alright?
