Claire stood behind the counter of the burnt toast diner. Her hair was no longer blonde, but now it was brown. She stared up to a TV watching the news as the different headlines flipped when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked behind her, it was Andy her new boyfriend. They talked for a while but then she saw two guys walk in, and sit in her section. Claire sighed and stood up walking over to the table of the men "Hello. I'm Claire, I'll be your waitress today, what can I get for you?" she asked them with a smile plastered onto her face.
"Um…. Coffee for me" the man with the curly blonde hair said with a smile on his face
"I'll have coke" the other one said. Claire nodded her head and walked off to the coffee pot pouring some coffee into it then grabbed a cup, filling it with coke. She took the cups and walked them back to the table
"Here you go… let me know if you need anything else" she said and started walking away
"Wait" the blonde man said. She turned and looked at them
"Yes?" she said confused
The man looked at his friend who was nodding his head "I'm Alex by the way" he said. She nodded her head and walked off back to the counter
"Nice going, just let her leave like that" his friend said
"Shut up Justin…. I'm not part of her life anymore, not after what I did" Alex said back to his friend, but looking at Claire
"Well you're an idiot for even doing that"
"Shut up" Alex said throwing a sugar packet at Justin
A few minutes later, Claire walked back over to the table with a pad of paper "Ready to order?" she asks them. Alex nods
"I'll have a chicken sandwhich" he said looking at her as she wrote it down
"Make that two" Justin said Claire nodded
"Alright, I'll go put the order in" she said and walked off to the kitchen handing the chef the slip and walking back out being greeted by her boyfriend, Andy.
"Hey baby" he said and kissed her on the lips. She pushed him away
"Andy, come on, not here." Claire said. Andy sighed
"Fine" he said and walked off into the kitchen again
"Dude, did you see that?" Justin asked as he watched Claire be kissed
"What?" Alex asked looking over at Claire
"See that guy, the one in the white" He asked. Alex nods "He kissed her" Alex clenched his fist under the table looking at the guy
"Chill, she isnt yours anymore" Justin said Alex looked at her
"She still has my ring on her finger doesnt she?" Alex said angrily.
Justin looked at her left hand and nodded "Apparently" he said and shrugged
"Just because her memory of me is gone, doesnt mean I cant love her. She's still my wife" Alex said looking down at the table
"Do something about it then. Dont just let that guy get off with kissing your wife. Get her back" Justin added.
"Fine, later" Alex said as he heard a ding on the door. He looked up and saw his son running through the door. Alex smiled, "Hey Arden" he said quietly. Arden smiled and ran back to his mom giving her a hug. Alex couldnt help but smile even bigger at this site but then he looked away thinking of a way to get her back and away from Andy.
