"Hythe? Hythe!" yelled my twin, as we plodded along on our way to school. He snapped his fingers in front of my face, in an attempt to get my attention.
"Sorry, what were you saying?" I asked vaguely, as my mind was elsewhere.
"Well, Lumbridge suggested last week that we've been too soft on the grind boys of late and that it was time to put some heads down the toilet… Hythe?"
"I… I'm listening."
"No you're not, liar." He stopped and turned to face me. "Hythe, you've been distracted all morning. What's the matter with you, brother?"
I let out a deep sigh.
"Porpentine starts today." I stated plainly "Just imagine what we could do to the Academy with Colbert Porpentine in our arsenal. We could bring the school to its knees!" I exclaimed with a wondrous smile gracing my lips.
Pugh just looked at me in confusion.
"Father always taught us supremacy, and Porpentine is the final piece to supremacy over the whole school!"
Realisation dawned on my brother's face, and a devious smile replaced his agape expression. Oh I could not wait for school.

"Here come the twins" I heard Haugh announce as Pugh and I made our way through the school gates. I could barely contain my excitement as I saw Porpentine standing with the group. I felt his scrutinizing gaze fall upon me, and I couldn't help but to survey him.
He was tall, taller than I, with a broad chest and forehead. He had dark, ebony hair, and steely grey eyes. I had to admit, he had quite the physique.
Oh, he would be an excellent addition to our group.
"Porpentine, meet Hythe Squellingham," said Fefferly, which drew me out of my musings.
"Meet Pugh Squellingham."
"Pleased to meet you" I said as I extended my hand, with an air of aloofness about me.
Col shook hands with both of us in turn. Pugh and I gave each other a look, before he announced,
"I think we should do a round with our member."
"Yes. Let everyone see that Porpentine's with us."
With but a nod from Pugh, both Lumbridge and Flarrow set off to clear a path through the schoolyard.
I let out a sigh of contentment. School was going to be so fun.

"What?" father roared, "You wish to befriend a Porpentine? Outrageous!" he said as he threw the teacup against the warm oak door of the Warwickshire lounge.
"B... but father," I stuttered
"But NOTHING!" he interrupted "Sir Mormus Porpentine is my biggest rival, and this Colbert Porpentine is YOURS! I want none of this 'friendship' between you. You are to humiliate him tomorrow, and make sure he knows his place. He belongs nowhere near a Squellingham. How are you going to be a Supreme Commander if he is in your way? Hmmm?"
It was a rhetorical question, and Pugh and I knew better than to answer.
"Exactly!" He exclaimed with vigour.
"But then again…" he considered "Befriending Porpentine isn't so bad after all. You would have to be subtle, of course, but I'm sure you two could do it."
"Do what, Father?"
"Bring Colbert Porpentine down from inside your little group. Build him up, then let him crumble. Well done boys, well done indeed."
