A new story! Not at all what I'm supposed to be doing, but, oh well. Never written for this fandom before, but I've been thinking about it for ages. No need to bore you though. See-ya at the end!

Morby Moments: Chapter 1 - Just Set Up the Chairs

Stupid 'Destroyer of Worlds'. What the hell kind of name is that, anyway? It's so cheesy. If it wasn't for that stupid video game, we wouldn't be in this mess right now.

"Drive, Pops, drive!" Skips instructs urgently before Pops lets out a squeak of excitement and the cart speeds off after our pixelated protagonist and antagonist.

We manage to get a few more shots in before Skips is shot off the cart;

"Skips!" Mordecai's concern mirrors my own, "Pops! Stop the cart! We've lost Skips."

The cart screeches to a halt and my best friend looks desperately behind us.

"Skips!"

We don't have much time left! Why is Mordecai so concerned about Skips, anyway? Wait, why am I so concerned about Mordecai's concern?

My thoughts are interrupted by a small out-building being blown up to our right and something inside seems to catch Mordecai's attention.

A gasp,

"The extra chairs! Dude, you kill The Destroyer of Worlds, I'll go get the extra chairs!" As if it's enough explanation as he jumps determinedly from the cart.

"It's too dangerous!" I don't care how much of a wuss I sound like, he could get hurt! "Just leave 'em!"

"I don't care!" He hollers back, still determined, "We are not slackers!"

He reaches the small, broken structure and suddenly all of the fire power is showered on top of him.

I give a short in-take of breath,

"MORDECAI!"

The faint sound of him screaming over the loud booming of lasers gets adrenaline rushing through me. I do the one thing I can think to do; I start button mashing.

Hopping from one game console to the next, I hear Mordecai shouting,

"The button mashing's working! Finish him off, dude!"

I stretch as far as I can to mash at all three games at once. Something strange happens with the over-sized character and he starts shooting extra-powerful burgers at the demon until he turns into a pair of cherries, symbolising the battle's end. My character stomps over to feast on the red berries successfully.

Mordecai strides over,

"That was some pretty sweet button-mashing." His praise makes me feel weirdly warm and fuzzy as he offers his hand for a high-five (Extra low, so I can reach, like always).

"I told you I got skills." I remind him, not un-kindly. He grins at me and my stomach does weird flip-flops. Man, what's with me and Mordecai's smiles lately?

Okay, so it's kinda short, but, in my defence, there wasn't a lot to work with in this episode, I thought I should start small. What do you think? I was thinking I should probably do them in chronological order, but if there's a specific moment you wanna see Morby-fied, then just leave it in the reviews or PM me, and I'll see what I can do.
