"Root for your favorite, cry when they get killed. It's sick."-Movie Gale
In a fandom, you do precisely that.
The characters are fiction.
Even though you care what happens to them,
They don't effect your life in a huge way.
Think about the Capitol,
And their entertainment.
The people didn't come up with it,
They were brainwashed,
Into thinking of the districts as fiction,
Dispensable,
Something far away from their life.
Stop judging the citizens.
Stop hating them.
They were just doing what fanfreaks did.
Imagine if the characters in our books rebelled and killed and tortured us for watching them suffer for entertainment.
We see them as pawns, imaginary characters.
So did the Capitol.
They were brainwashed...
We are brainwashed...
To enjoy the pain of the characters.
We are the Capitol.
Stop judging.
Judge the Capitol,
Judge yourself.
You watched the capitol citizens die,
You didn't cry.
And THAT, my friends is my latest and (hopefully) greatest masterpiece.
I am dealing with the end-of-year workload right now, and my laptop keeps dying on me, and I keep having to send it back to the company.
AHHH forgive me.
