"What are you doing?" Beckett demanded as she entered the office.

"We're on strike!" the boys said in unison.

"Alright," she answered deciding to play along, "I'll bite, why are you on strike? Someone take away your coffee?" she finished with a laugh, but stopped quickly at the annoyed expression on their faces, "seriously, someone took away your coffee?"

"They took Castle's coffee maker," Esposito stated quietly, "something about not being properly tested to be in the building."

"A fire risk," Ryan added.

"And you guys are on strike till you get it back?" Beckett asked trying hard to hide her amusement.

"Damn right!" Esposito almost shouted.

"Good Mor... Okay, who stole their coffee?" Castle asked as he arrived and witnessed the pair sitting with their arms folded.

"Your coffee machine wasn't safety tested before you plugged it in," Beckett told him, unable to keep the smile from overtaking her.

"Oh, that is just wrong," Castle started running into the break room to check on his precious coffee machine, "they can't do that!" he added, slouching down beside Ryan and Esposito.

"Are you going on strike as well then?" Beckett asked, giggling at sheer insanity of it.

"Damn straight!" he said, folding his arms in solidarity with his colleagues.

The ring of Beckett's phone interrupted any reply she may have had and she tried hard not to laugh as she answered, turning away from the madness.

"Beckett...yes sir...erm, are you sure sir?...of course, I'll get right on that."

An evil smirk appeared on her face as she hung up, but she did her best to compose herself before turning around.

"So," she started, "you guys are on strike?"

"100%" Esposito answered.

"Definitely," Ryan added.

"Nothing could make us move!" Castle finished.

"Fine, I guess I'll need to head to Lady Irena's on my own then," Beckett said, trying her best to look upset at the situation.

"Erm... Lady Irena's?" Castle asked.

"Yeah, one of their client's has been found dead in the dungeon, she requested I take the case, so I guess I'm flying solo."

"Well, just a second," Castle began turning to Ryan and Esposito, "isn't there like this awesome coffee place just round the corner from there?"

"You know what," Esposito joined in, "I think you're right."

"Yeah, I think I remember that," Ryan added with a nod of his head.

"So," Beckett grinned at them, "strike over?"

"Well, for today at least," Esposito said, "you know, since we can get some good stuff near the crime scene but they'd better get that damn machine in here pronto or there will be trouble!"

"Sure," Beckett answered as she headed for the elevator, "or until the next pretty woman calls."
