Wow…
Papers fluttered like feathers to the filthy classroom floor. Two teens accompanied them. One had short, raven-black hair, bright green eyes, and lightly tanned skin. The young man stared in awe at the specimen he'd so carelessly ran in to. Her mid-length hair was naturally curled to a messy perfection. A few sandy brown locks separated themselves from the rest to fall beside her china-doll bangs. She had the most beautiful blue eyes, and skin like porcelain. He watched her thin fingers massage her temples.
"Mh.. ow." Her eyes squeezed shut.
Oh god.. "I'm so sorry.., are you ok? Are you hurt?" He asked concernedly as he began collecting her papers.
"No, no, I'm fine" she replied with a nervous giggle. "It's just my bad luck.. I should have been paying more attention" She started helping him pick up her stuff. "Thank you.." she gave a sweet smile when he handed the rest to her.
"Oh, no. It was my fault.. And don't worry about it." A hand rose to rest on the back of his neck, and a dorky smile crossed his face. "Are you new? I don't think I've ever seen you before.. " The hand fell to his side and the smile was replaced with a confused gap between his lips.
"Ah.. yes. Today's my first day here." She played with her hair, twirling it, and letting it unfurl. "My name is Bridgette O'Malley, and I just moved here from Nevada." She glanced at her feet, then back at him.
Pretty name… "Oh, Bridgette. That's a lovely name." Rolls off the tongue nicely.. "I'm Sam Alexander, and you might wanna sit down before class starts.." He motioned to the empty seat next to his.
"Thank you." She sat down immediately, her things falling to the floor beside her with an audible thud. He did the same. They had a small conversation.. mere small-talk, of her trip in and how she liked it here.. but they didn't get much in before the bell.. Coulson had a lot on the agenda today. Menial chit-chat wasn't enough. Sam wanted more of this new girl. A lot more. And he knew just how to get it. Superpowers were good for more than just protection.
