It Takes Two
Summary: A collection of short ZackXxMaddie oneshots and drabbles, for the ZxM fan in all of us.

Author's Notes: The oneshots have nothing in common with each other, except for they are ZackxMaddie. This will have many chapters, though each of them will end during that chapter -- it's like one of those books with ten short stories in it. Also, drabbles are like oneshots... Just really short ones. This first chapter can sort of be considered a drabble, I think.
-Chapter 1: A Single Tear-
The picture shone through her blurred vision, not finding a way to be able to keep her hands still. They shook and shook with the pain and the fear that enveloped her from all sides, inside and out. The grave before her taunted her, kept her from feeling the presence of the one she had lost. She knew that if she tried hard enough, she'd feel it. But how do you try to feel a presence when you can't even keep your hands from shaking or tears from falling down your face?
Choked sobs errupted from her throat as her whole body began to shake, her hands dropping the photograph onto the hard dirt that covered her deceased husband's body. And through her fingers fell a single tear, staining the corner of the photograph -- the last one of the two of them, Maddie and Zack, before he went off to war. The last picture taken of them. Stained.
By a single tear.
