It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the birds chirping, and not a cloud in the sky. Not that a single one of the straw-hat's had noticed. Their hearts were heavy and their eyes full of tears. No, all they saw was the grave before them. Yes one of their beloved crewmembers had died. They held a small ceremony; it was just them and a couple of close friends to greave the loss of their loved one. The ceremony was beautiful and touching everyone there said some words to honor there fallen friend. Some were short like Chopper's who was crying so much all he could manage to say was a just barely croaked out "good bye". While some were long like usopp's very detailed story on how they first met, and for once Usopp chose not to lie. Once the ceremony ended, everyone gave a little prayer. Even Zoro prayed and he does not even believe in God! When they were done everyone left, well, everyone except the crews red headed navigator who decided to stay a little while longer. As she stood there and stared at the head stone, she could not help the tears that started welling up in her eyes as she thought of all the memories they shared. While not all were good, they were all precious and all part of the reason she fell in love with him. How she wished she could see him again if only for one night just so she could feel him with her one more time. She shook her head angrily as more tears fell. She had to stop thinking about the past and start thinking about the future. She had to think about her, correction their future. With a soft sigh, she rubbed her now very swollen belly with a sad smile. They had spent many nights together but that time was special. Not only was it the night he gave her his child but also the night he asked her to be his wife. The night had started like any other; Nami was working on her maps and had been since dinner. Then he came in just as he always did every night. Nami never understood why he never asked Franky to make them a room since he enjoyed sleeping with her so much but she did not mind much. Although this time he was acting odd almost, nervous? Why, she had no idea. However, unlike every other night nami had been progressing very well on her map and did not want any interruption. It was too bad he never did take no for an answer. So after some time, promises of making it up to her, and a lot of begging she accepted. When they had finished he grinned, grabbed her hand, and at that moment asked her to be his wife. She of course accepted and that was that. The memory made her smile, a small smile but still a smile as she looked at the diamond ring still perched happily on her finger and at the hat perfectly perched on her head. Her smile grew. She took the hat and placed it on her stomach then bent over the grave. "You would have made a great dad" as she said this she placed a single "mikan" on the grave. She got up and placed the hat back on her head. A gentile breeze blew bye. She grinned and whispered a small "thank you" then left the cemetery. A single "mikan" sits on a grave under a large tree at the center of the cemetery, which reads. 'Monkey D. Luffy a dumbass and a child but we wouldn't have him any other way. Rest in peace, captain….'
