6-year-old Finn Hudson wasn't dumb. Really, he wasn't. He could say the entire alphabet twice forward and back without making a mistake! But many of the kids teased him as dumb because of the time he mistook a dog as a cat. He shuddered when he remembered when he accidentally tipped his juice box on the monster. He still had the scars to prove it too.

However, he had quite enough of the fighting and bullying. How, you ask? Well, when he was 4 years old, he discovered that he had an ability that no one else in the world had. It made him giddy just thinking about it. His parents were shocked when he levitated a coffee cup with nothing but his eyes, and accidentally broke it. It was around that same time that they forbid him to do anything to cultivate that ability. But desperate times called for desperate measures.

It was nap time, and only he was awake at that time, so he started practicing his skill for the first time in… a long time. The rush energized him, as he practiced levitating and carefully putting back down broken pencils and crumpled pieces of paper. He smirked when he mastered the technique.

The bell rang, signalling that it was time to wake up. Revenge, a sinister part of his mind said. However he kept his face blank, with just a hint of stupidity so it won't look like he's going to scare them. Or traumatize them for the rest of their lives, whichever. All of them went outside of the room for break time.

"Hey Hudson!" A tall blonde with pig tails (yes, it was a girl) shouted at him. "Can't tell the difference from a cat and a dog again?" She pounded her fists together, and the younger ones followed suit. He rolled his eyes, and didn't waste a second of the time.

He focused on the small pebble near the large tree, ignoring the supposed insults and jeers. He had excellent vision, so excitement and nervousness were blooming in his stomach when he saw that the pebble was quivering, hovering even.

"What are you looking at?" she walks up to him, but before she got the chance to push him, the pebble flew from that mossy spot under the trees to the back of her head. He sidestepped, just in time, before she fell on the chalked pavement of the playground. Many of the kids were silenced when the big bully fell. Finn fled the scene before anyone could suspect he did anything about it.

It was pretty much the last time he ever used his power for his own gain again, but he still practiced when he had the time, because you never know when an opportunity to use it might come up. But up to now, Finn Hudson had kept his lips zipped tight for 11 years, and he's still counting.
