It was a warm and still night on the island of Berk. The moon was high and bright in the sky and all was quiet.

On this peaceful night, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III was sitting against a tree at Raven's Point with his love, Astrid Hofferson, snuggled right beside him. Both of her hands were in his and her head was on his shoulder. Their dragons, Toothless and Stormfly, were both sleeping near the pond after a long day of flying.

Both the teens were still awake. Smiling and letting out content sighs enjoying this nice moment together. Astrid finally spoke softly "Hey, Hiccup?"

The young dragon trainer looked down and smiled "Yes Astrid?"

Astrid laid her head back down on Hiccup's shoulder and stared at the pond before responding "Do you ever wish that moments like these would last forever? No wars, no fighting, and no dragon problems? Just you and me together at peace?"

Hiccup thought about her question and shrugged "Sometimes I think about it, but then we would miss out on life's great surprises. I sure would miss risking my life almost everyday."

The girl chuckled at her boyfriend's sarcasm. One of the many things she would never get tired of. "I guess you're right."

Minutes passed of the two of them cuddling together. Suddenly, Hiccup had a feeling of doing something he hasn't done before. His brain was telling him not to do it but his heart was telling him to go for it. He looked down and saw that Astrid was watching the moonlight reflect on the water. Hiccup slowly leaned his head down and placed a soft kiss on top of her blonde head.

After sensing the kiss on her head, Astrid looked up at Hiccup giving him a look of shock which then turned into a smile.

Hiccup looked at her nervously "W-what?" He stuttered.

"That was the first time you kissed me on your own, Hic." Astrid said sounding surprised.

Hiccup started to blush and rubbed the back of his neck with one of his hands while the other held Astrid's hand. "Umm..w-well..." He laughed nervously "I'm s-sorry if it wasn't so g-good. I'll just leave the kissing to you."

"Actually Hiccup," Astrid said as she took both of Hiccup's hands into her hands, "do you think you could...maybe...d-do it again?"

With that, Hiccup's frown turned into a hopeful smile. He then lifted Astrid's chin up gently so that she was facing him. At first he hesitated, but he then brought her lips up to his. They then shared a loving kiss which lasted about seven seconds.

When they pulled apart, Hiccup smiled at her lovingly "How was that m'lady?"

Astrid let out a dreamy sigh and replied "Amazing."
