To protect me
Summery: Jasper's first time seeing Alice experience a vision. Set before they meet the Cullen family.
APOV
I silently sighed then concentrated harder. I wanted; no I needed to prefect these visions. I was getting better but still not perfect. I have not seen the Cullens in two whole weeks. In fact my last vision was five days ago right before Jasper walked into the diner.
Jasper. I shot a glance across the hotel room to where he sat reading the day's news. I shifted my weight out of habit on the bed as I studied him: Tall, blond hair, red eyes not yet diluted by animal blood, scars, and the smallest hint of a smile that only appeared when he was alone with me. I sighed again this time wistfully. His eyes lifted to me, placed the paper down and headed towards me at human pace. When he was half there it hit full force.
JPOV
She was irritated that was obvious without my gift. It was not like her normally she would be bouncing up and down chatting happily. I debated calming her when suddenly she was calm content yet longing. She looked at me and sighed softly. She wanted me to come over to comfort her to hug her and encourage her. So I started to go to her side. Suddenly she went completely limp, lifeless, eyes blank staring ahead unseeing. I was by her side in an instant. I shook her gently.
"Alice, Alice can you hear me. Alice! What is wrong?" I made her lie down on the bed. What was wrong with her? Her temperature was normal for a vampire.
"Alice, darlin'." She blinked twice then sat up.
"What happened you could not see could not hear…"
APOV
Emmett walked through the open meadow a slight glimmer on his skin due to the thin layer of clouds. This was his first hunt alone he was still so young. He sniffed the air the sent of bear urged him into the dense forest. He gave in completely. But then something else drew him in some thing sweeter. A child's blood Emmett crouched then sprang… We need to move. Do not blame your self Em, we all make mistakes. Rose comforted her husband.
"Alice, darlin'," Jasper's voice was full of panic it made me worry also. I blinked then sat up.
"What happened you could not see could not hear…What is wrong? you are sad."
"Emmett is going to kill a little boy. They need to move I do not know where." I pouted we needed to change course again. Jasper relaxed some and sent a wave of calm over me. I crawled over to his side.
JPOV
She was pouting adorably no one could resist her least of all me. The pieces clicked into place, she had a vision of the Cullens.
"So you finally got you vision."
"Yes."
"I must admit you gave me quite a scare."
"Oh Jazz, that is so sweet." Her loving emotion blended perfectly with my calm.
APOV
He was worried about me. I leaned my head against his arm perfectly content. He still was bothered about something.
"What is wrong?"
"During your vision you were so vulnerable. In the wars…" He shuddered. "in the wars you would have been terminated so swiftly."
"I do not need to worry about that at all." He raised an eyebrow at my confidence.
"Why is that?"
"I have a soldier to protect me."
