Defiance
By: ChoCedric
She's so angry; it's bubbling up inside her like a volcano. She knows she's acting like a spoiled little kid who isn't getting her way, but she doesn't give a darn at the moment. She desperately wants to rejoin Hogwarts, to not act like a coward and stop fighting. She yearns to rebel, to carry on in the spirit of Dumbledore's Army. Luna has already been taken, and she can't stand the thought of Neville having to deal with everything himself. Her mother looks at her with pity in her eyes, but she doesn't understand what she's going through. She doesn't understand that her whole world revolves around Harry and his cause of light, that she craves for that adrenaline rush that courses through her whenever she defies Snape and the Carrows. But she vows to herself that she will show her mother what she can do; at the final battle she won't sit on her bottom like a coward. She'll get up and fight, and she'll show Harry she's worth it. She swears a wizard's oath that that promise will be fulfilled.
