"It's raining."

One of those rare days without club practices, the students readying to go home met a heavy shower.

"Wow thank god I listened to my sister, nya!"

"Eiji, you brought your umbrella?"

Kikumaru and Fuji were packing up together as they were in the same class.

Kikumaru who was in a good mood since he brought an umbrella wondered at Fuji's question.

"Eh? Fuji you didn't bring yours? What's up, nya? You usually prophesied the weather by looking at the sky!"

Although it was a bit exaggerated, what Kikumaru said was true. The progidy of Seigaku, Fuji Shusuke, has a talent for reading the weather, wind to be exact, and always brought his umbrella when it was going to rain.

Not only him but Fuji's sister Yumiko is also talented at simple fortune readings and offered her brother an umbrella this morning but Fuji refused.

The progidy's reasons were simple unlike his usual image.

"Because I know you'll share it with me."

Looking at Fuji who had his usual smile, Kikumaru could not act like his usual self.

Surprised.

Impressed.

Joyful.

Satisfied.

Kikumaru could only mutter a response with the overwhelming stir of emotions.

"You, you are so unfair..."

"So you're not going to share your umbrella with me?"

It's deliberate. He said that intentionally.

He's totally enjoying my reaction.

Kikumaru concluded while looking at Fuji smile.

"Hmp! I can't help it if Fujiko-chan begs me, can't I? Be honored that your sharing an umbrella with the mighty Eiji-sama, nya!"

Kikumaru tried to conceal the reactions Fuji desired.

But Kikumaru could not hide his flushed cheeks.

"Of course. Good thing Eiji likes me so much, isn't it?"

Kikumaru only blushed harder with Fuji teasing him.

"You are such a meannie! So unfair!"

Kikumaru quickly left with his umbrella only to return just as quickly.

Fuji asked the figure hidden under the umbrella.

"Am I really a meannie? Then do you hate me? That's sad, because I like Eiji."

So unfair.

Kikumaru once again thought while looking at Fuji's smiling face.

"No... I like you.. I like you a lot, Fuji.."

Kikumaru answered honestly. He could not win against Fuji.

Satisfied with Kikumaru's sincere answer, Fuji entered the umbrella with a sincere smile and responded.

"Thank you. I really like you too, Eiji."

With that, Fuji started walking.

I really like you.

Talking steps alongside Fuji, Kikumaru thought to himself.

I really like you.

Fuji.

Fuji and Kikumaru continued walking sharing an umbrella.

Away from school. With one umbrella.
