Chapter 1 - One of Those Days

Shan Cai sighed audibly as she pulled on her striped red-and-white shirt on a bright Monday morning. This was it. her first day at Ying De University, the exclusive school where her ambitious parents enrolled her, in the hopes of finding their daughter an affluent husband. She sighed again as she tied her sneakers. Even though her parents mean well, she couldn't help to be angry with them. She didn't want to go to Ying De Xue Yuan. She wanted to go to other colleges, where her all her other friends went, with an exception. Li Zhen's attending Ying De, too, because of her hard-earned scholarship. She sighed once more as she stared at her reflection. She had dark circles under her eyes, since she was restless last night, worrying about her new school. Her hair, as usual, wasn't obeying a thing she says. Her shirt had an unnoticeable hole on the sides. It may be invisible to others, but it wasn't for her. Her three-year-old khaki shorts were becoming too short for her, since it hung above her knee. Her white socks were droopy, and what was up with the sneakers? She ought to buy a new one since hers were so worn out it couldn't be more worn out. Plus her breakfast made her want to barf. It was a good thing that her Dad finished it for her. San Cai resisted the urge to scream and shout. It was just one of those days.

Dao Ming Se woke up with a smile on his face. He was pretty beat from last night's party, but he had the time of his life, hitting on girls with Xi Men, money-talking with business tycoons, and consuming plates of scrumptious food. In fact, he's pretty bloated up to this time. Instead of having breakfast, he grabbed his new red polo and his ironed denims, put on his favorite head wrap, slung his backpack over his shoulder, and, while whistling an upbeat tune, set out of the house.

Hua Zhe Lei stared at his breakfast. Blue Marlin. again. For some reason, their new cook branded the dish as "Rich People's Food". He may prepare it very well but it does get tiring if that's all that you eat in the past three days. I'll be a happy person if I don't ever see Blue Marlin again. He pushed his plate away, stood up, and wordlessly climbed the stairs and up to his room. He checked his watch. class would start in approximately fifteen minutes. He picked out a crisp white shirt and his loose-fitting khakis, his simplest ensemble. He had no choice, since time was running out. While changing, he caught a glimpse of Teng Tang Jing's poster. When is she coming back? He wonders, guilty that he lost touch of his model girlfriend. Man, this day sucks. He thought as he dragged his bag to his month-old auto. Then he fired up the engine and sped off.

Mei Zhuo stroked his shoulder-length hair for the thousandth time. He reached for some hair gel. And combed again. Wow. His hair looked awesome. "You're the man!" he points at himself at the mirror while flashing his killer smile. Today is the best day of my life.

Rrriiinnnggg!!! Xi Men smiled when he heard his cellphone ring his melodious ringtone. Maybe it's one of the guys, He thought eagerly. Rrriiinnnggg!!! He peeked to see who was calling. Shu Mei! Suddenly, the thought of his flavor-of-the-week calling made his upbeat ringtone sound haunting. "H-hello?" he manages to utter. "Xi Men! You son of a bitch! Where were you last night?" she demanded. "Look, Mei, I have no time." but he was cut off. "Save it for the birds, Xi Men! We're through!" she said tearfully, then hangs up. Oh, well, she was lucky to last a week and three days, he said to himself.

There you have it, my first fanfic. I know it's nothing exciting yet, but please R&R!
