Untold Truth
'My son…but how is that possible? Big brother told me he was dead…why would he lie to me?' I thought as I look over to the one that the Hokage claims to be my dead son. I guess you would want to know who I am, my name is Kitsune Uchiha I am the ex-heiress of the famed Uchiha clan. Ten years ago when I was 19 years old Sound ninjas attacked Konoha and I, being a Jounin, was required to fight for the village, weather I had a child or not. I had left my son, Sasuke Uchiha, with his cousin Itachi, my brother's son, believing he would be safe at the mansion.
After a rough battle my brother came to me stating my son was dead and his body destroyed. I couldn't think my only son and heir was dead; my husband, his father, had died earlier on in a fight against the head of the village of sound. I was stupid, believing what my brother said, with no proof, I left Konoha. I had nothing to live for anymore so I didn't see a point in staying with the other Uchiha clan members. About 5 years later, Sasuke would have been 7, I heard of the Uchiha Massacre and how Itachi had murdered every single last Uchiha. I was now truly alone in the world, I had thought of returning out of respect, but I couldn't bring myself to go back the death's of my husband and son were still to fresh, even five years after said incident.
Coming out of my thoughts I stare at the 3rd Hokage "Would you care to explain how it is my son is still alive when I had been told, by my own brother, that he had somehow died during the Sound attack TEN YEARS AGO!!" I lose control of my temper and snap out "Do you know what it's like coming back to your old village to find out the child you thought died is in-fact alive? I almost killed myself when Kasuno told me Sasuke was dead, I thought if I could give my life up to bring him back I would have no questions! And now you tell me that what I actually did was leave my son behind." I pause close to tears I fall to my knees right in front of Sasuke "I am so sorry."
I feel the tears cascade down my face as I try to get some semblance of control over myself. A pair of arms wraps themselves around my neck and looking up I see that it's Sasuke, "We'll leave you two alone for a bit." "Wait, Lord Hokage why did Kasuno lie about Sasuke? What reason did he have?" I force myself to ask not really wanting to know the answer. He sighed "I had hoped you wouldn't ask as of yet, but, the reason Kasuno lied is because he needed you out of the way so he may take over as heir to the Uchiha household. Then you had a child and even though Itachi was older, Sasuke being your heir would be next in line, he lied for power. Itachi killed the clan because they had planned on killing Sasuke, he remembered his promise to you that he would always protect his cousin and he did, by killing those who wished him harm!" I glare at the floor "Thank you for telling me the truth Lord Hokage." He exit's the room leaving Sasuke and me alone "If you knew would you have taken me with you?" I hear Sasuke ask "What are you talking about?" "If you knew I was still alive…would you have taken me with you when you left?" He looks at me with fear and rejection in his eyes when I didn't answer. I grin ironically "If I knew I wouldn't have left at all!" I answer while pulling him into my arms "You're my son and no matter what happens I'll always be there for you and I'll always love you!" Tears fill his eyes and he whispers back "I love you too, kaa-san!"
