Rose woke up on her bed in the T.A.R.D.I.S. she felt like everything was finally right. She got up and went into the control room. The Doctor was sat on their chair staring into space.
'Doctor?' she asked sheepishly.
'Yes, Rose,' he replied.
'There's something I need to tell you.'
'Go ahead.'
'When I was in that parallel universe trying to get back here, I realized that even if I could get back to you, I couldn't spend forever with you. At Torchwood we did some…tests and I found a solution,' she stood their biting her lip as she stares at The Doctor Waiting for him to say something.
'Okay, what's the solution, Rose?' he asked a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
'Well, when I looked into the time vortex, you absorbed the energy from me. But we found out that the time vortex energy is still in my head. If we can…contact the T.A.R.D.I.S. again then the energy should increase in size and..' here she trailed off and looked into The Doctor's eyes. She saw the hope that was in her eyes reflected in his.
'Rose, do you mean to tell me that if we can tap into the heart of the T.A.R.D.I.S you could become a Time Lady?' he said, excitement in his eyes.
'That's exactly what I'm saying, Doctor.'
'What are we waiting for then!' He exclaimed and rushed to the console. He pushed some buttons on the console and the floor of the T.A.R.D.I.S opened up to show a brilliant light. Rose stepped forward and looked into the light. She stood there for a while staring into the light until the floor resealed itself. She stepped back and looked at The Doctor. She could tell it worked, she could feel the Earth moving and she could tell how to work the T.A.R.D.I.S.
'It worked,' she whispered before running into The Doctor's open arms for a hug.
'You fantastic girl,' he said before leaning down and kissing her gently.
