Marguerite walked past the trees in the the forest, unaware that someone was following her. She had been scouting the area with Roxton, when they had a slight tiff, rather large disagreement again where they both decided it would be better to go on their seperate ways and eventually meet up at the treehouse.
Marguerite sighed, as Roxton always knew how to push her buttons and set her off, then she would be cold, and cruel to him, which would infuriate him more. She decided not to think of this anymore and walked on. And then she heard a shriek. Marguerite ran to see where it was coming from. She saw an old woman being attacked by apemen. Marguerite didn't hesitate to shoot them.
"Are you alright?" Marguerite asked as she placed her gun back in its holster.
"Yes, thank you my dear. I don't know where they came from" the old lady responded
"This jungle can be very dangerous especially when traveling alone. What are you doing out here by yourself?"
"I was visiting my granddaughter, she lives in a village nearby"
"You must mean the Zanga village"
"Yes, that's it."
"We'll it's along the way to where I'm headed, I'll walk with you"
"Thank you my dear"

Roxton was walking as well, he had an encounter with a raptor and shot it, and in doing so he didn't hear Marguerite's shot. He was heading back to the treehouse when he felt something strange come over him, it was familiar to him, and he feared the worst.
"MARGUERITE!" Roxton charged back into the jungle.

"Oh my dear, I'm an old woman, let me sit down and rest for a bit" the old lady sat down on a rock
"Of course, you must be tired" Marguerite sat beside her and smiled
The old lady took out an apple from her bag.
"Here, eat you must be hungry"
"Well, I am just a bit"
"Well eat then my dear"
Marguerite took the apple from the old lady and bit into it. The sound of the apple crunched, its flesh being ripped and it's skin torned echoed. Marguerite chewed on the sweetness of its fruit and swallowed. The old lady watched in aticipation as what would happen. Roxton was charging through the forest as fast as he could.
"Marguerite!" Roxton yelled out
"Roxton?" Marguerite got up as she looked in the direction he was yelling from.
Roxton came out of the bushes like a madman, and saw Marguerite and the old woman.
"You're too late!" the old lady hissed
Marguerite started to feel dizzy and fainted. Roxton ran to her and held her in his arms. The old lady smiled.
"You don't recognize me do you Roxton?"
"What have you done to her?!"
The old lady misted and revealed her true self.
"Daniel?!"
"Miss me?"
"You're-"
"I'm very much alive and well, no thanks to you. Your precious Marguerite will pay the price for your betrayal. She is mine now, and there's nothing you can do about it"
"I'll rip you apart with my bare hands!"
Daniel just let out an evil laughter as she misted away. Roxton held Marguerite in his arms and looked at the apple still in her hands. He picked it up and smelled it. It had an odd smell. He put it in his pocket, and picked her up and quickly rushed back to the treehouse.

"Challenger!" Roxton yelled out
"What's wrong?" Veronica asked as she saw Roxton enter
"Marguerite, I think she's been poisoned" Roxton answered as he put her down on the bed
"What's wrong?" Challenger asked as he walked in
"Marguerite's been poisoned, by this" Roxton showed Challenger the apple
"Are you sure?" Challenger asked as he sniffed the apple, "Oh, potent smell. I'll need to run tests on it to see what kind of poison it is"
"I've never come across any poisonous fruits before" Veronica stated
"It was poisoned by Daniel" Roxton answered
"Daniel? But how can that be possible?" Challenger asked
