Well, it's been a long while since I posted something on here. I decided to do something small before I got back into any of my big stories ("Love is My Game") and the longer stories (the supposed Greens' fanfic). Anyways, this is a Vocaloid theme Powerpuff Girls story based on the song "Tricks and Treats". Enjoy!

Chapter 1

Rain, Rain Run Away

"You are going to like your new home, Lady Blossom." Ms. Raymond said while turning her head just a little in her 1910 Owens Touring automobile. The woman could see that a young girl, no older than twelve, was staring at the rain as they drove on the lonely road. The sweet redhead had finished crying about two hours ago and had finally stopped fussing. The social worker couldn't blame the young lady for being so upset. They had just left a foster home that she only stayed at for a week and was being giving to a family that couldn't come to pick her up because of their lack of transportation. The social worker had seen the family and knew they were a perfect pair for the young lady Blossom Utonium despite them being in a lower statue. "They have a piano in their living room and a small white and black dog that would love to play with you."

"…" Blossom didn't response to the social worker and instead played with the end of her pink pouf dress. The long sleeves of her white blouse were wrinkled by her tears from before and the red ribbon that sat at the back of her head was damp from the rain. The only things that seemed in place were her black stockings and the shiny black Mary Jane shoes her late father had given her.

"Their manor isn't as big, but I know it's closer to more people with children of their own." Ms. Raymond smiled while keeping her eyes in front of her. The roads were pretty empty especially since it was nighttime and the rain was pouring, but the new guardians wanted to have the young lady right away.

"…" Blossom sighed to herself while moving her long, orange hair to hide her face. Her pink eyes watched the few manors go by wishing she was in one of them. All of them reminded her of the manor she grew up in. It was a huge, wood manor with black accent for the roof, window shutters, door, and more. The stone walkway come up to the manor where a statue of an angel would always greet her, stood proud and tall. The plant life there was brilliant because the forest partially surrounded them. Blossom loved that. People barely came to their home and she liked the quiet for reading or writing.

"Lady Blossom? Please say something." The social worker pouted stopping the car to let a few automobiles go through. She didn't get an answer and it was slowing starting to wear her down. "Oh! I almost forgot." Ms. Raymond reached into her workbag and pulled out a porcelain doll that looked new despite it not being in a box. She passed the doll to Blossom and quickly got back to driving. "Your new family got you this doll as a present."

"…That is very kind of them…thank you." Blossom said while staring at the lifeless glass of the doll's face. Blossom only said something because her parents had taught her to thank people who give her gifts, but she wished to throw this gift away. It wasn't like it wasn't pretty; the brown, curly hair framed the white doll's face nicely and the lace dress she wore was sown so well she was afraid to touch it. Blossom just couldn't think about getting another doll since they "forgot" her own dolls in her home. The dolls her mother had worked on for weeks in spite of her mainly working for the mayor of the small town. Blossom's mother wasn't known for her sewing or cooking skills (surprisingly that was her father who was a scientist), so those dolls were very important to her. They were stuffed and soft that it wouldn't be a surprise to see Blossom sleeping on them. They had shiny, buttoned eyes each a different shade of blue for that particular doll. Blossom smiled remembering that the girl of the pair had yellow yarn pigtails and wore a reddish poncho dress while the boy wore a stylish hat and cape jacket sometimes hiding his arms.

"I'm glad you are turning a new leaf to this change." the social worker hummed not noticing the silence tears of the young redhead behind her. If she would look back she would only see the doll covering Blossom's face as she cried.

"Mm." Blossom only answered, so the social worker wouldn't look back at her. Blossom was a little mad at the fancy suit wearing woman. Even though she wore a hung over tailored skirt and jacket set like her mother, it felt like a sham. To not even see this family, she was going to was like throwing her into the ocean. She hated it.

"Hm, the roads are a bit slippery." Ms. Raymond groaned while trying to keep the black automobile on track. "Hopefully I don't hit a tree."

"…" Blossom heard that mumbled part. She really didn't like this woman now. There happened to be a lot of trees surrounding them and Blossom gripped the doll tightly. It was starting to remind her of the cause of her parents' death. Blossom was smart for her age, that's what her parents would praise her about, she knew how they died. That smashed front of their 1910 Atlas Model H, that angry yelling of police with an unknown man, and a tree that had to be removed for safety reasons. It really wasn't fair.

"I'm quite sure after we clear these woods we will be a hop, skip, and a jump to your new family."

"I…" Blossom was starting to feel sick. She didn't want to go to a new family. She didn't want to forget about her real parents. She just wanted to go home. Then Blossom heard something. She looked around not seeing anything, but the trees…however that sound, that music was there. "Mom…Dad…"

"Aah!" shouted Ms. Raymond as the wheels of her car slid against the road. Blossom quickly gripped onto the side of the car door as Ms. Raymond was trying to keep the car straight. The little automobile had luckily fallen into a pothole that stopped them from flying off the road. "Well…well..just give me a moment Lady Blossom." mumbled the social worker trying to get a handle on the situation.

"…" Blossom wasn't listening to her; she was more forced on the music that seemed to come from the thick woods. It was a Giovanni Cavaccio piece called the Canzona "La Foresta", something way too lively for this murky night. It was her father's favorite and it was always played whenever dinner was done. Blossom gulped making a spilt second decision as Ms. Raymond was getting her bearings together. She ran.

"Lady Blossom! Where are you going?" the woman yelled watching the little girl swing the door open and run into the forest. "Blossom! Blossom!" Ms. Raymond quickly got out of the car trying to follow the runaway, but surprisingly the young girl was quite nimble.

"Don't look back." Blossom huffed as rain slowly started to clear and the moonlight seem to guide her to the music. The branches seem to grab onto her dress trying to stop her, but Blossom would give a strong tug and she was free to walk deeper into the woods. She had finally made it to a clearing just as the music stop. "Mom! Dad! Play it again, so I can come to you!" It was just pure silence. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. "Please…! Please…" Blossom started crying seeing her small hope was just her imagination. She knew better, but just maybe…

"Dear me what do we have here?"

"Who there?" squeaked Blossom looking around for the high pitch voice.

"Just us, just us…don't be afraid." a male voice said while two individuals stepped into the moonlight. Blossom stared at the figures in the night seeing they were well young adults probably around sixteen or eighteen if she had to guess. "My name is Boomer, and this is my sweetheart Bubbles." the male, Boomer, smiled while taking his top hat off and bowing to her. Bubbles just waved at her as she held the end of her dress as if she was planning to curtsy.

"Wait…Boomer and Bubbles, but those are my-"

"Dolls' names." smiled Bubbles while spinning around as to show off to the young girl in front of her.

"…" Blossom stared at them closely seeing the male return his hat to the top of his dirty blonde, spiked hair. Boomer was wearing a reddish cape jacket with golden buttons down the front. She remembered seeing a white blouse underneath it and the dress pants and shoes matched her boy doll perfectly.

"Blossom?" Bubbles smiled while her reddish poncho dress seemed to float around her. Her long, black boots didn't catch any mud as she pulled her long, black sleeves down. "Ain't I, your joy and laughter?"

"Boomer? Bubbles?" the young lady gasped while tears fell onto her reddened cheeks. "It's really you!" Blossom quickly jumped into their opened arms as they hugged her back just as eagerly.

"Yes, it is."

And there we go! What you think? Nothing too fancy and I'm sure you all listened to that song, so no real surprises. But, I still wanted to do this for you guys who are still around or people who just want something to read. Thank you for reading hopefully I get the next chapter out soon. Review and…wait and see!
