The last thing Luffy remembered was eating a mysterious fruit, a blue, bumpy, round fruit. Also, Zoro being pissed, calling him names like stupid and dumbass, that too. He didn't care though, he knew Zoro didn't mean all the words he would always say.
Luffy finally decided to open his eyes, for he was resting them while thinking about his odd life. Surprisingly, he didn't awake to Chopper's worried face more rather he was resting on a slab of concrete, in a town, people were giving him strange glances but kept walking by. Luffy just layed there though, he didn't know where he was. Usually, he would have Nami helping him with that.
After a while, his back started to hurt, so he decided to get up on his two feet. Looking around once again to see if he could spot anyone he knew, but he had no luck. The people were dressed differently, thankfully they were speaking the same language that he did but they had an awfully. strange, annoying accent.
He saw a kid walking towards a huge castle thing. This kid looked important, he had spiky green hair, one thing Luffy had learned from his adventures was if you had colorful, big hair than you were going to be strong and important. Luffy started walking towards him, maybe this kid could help him find his way back to his crew or maybe even join his crew.
"Do you want to join my pirate crew? ", Luffy asked passionately. The kid, confused, responded, "Uh, I'm sorry what?". Luffy was very Puzzled with this, he had never met anyone who had responded that way, usually people would say, "What crew are you from?", or harsher, "I'm going to kill you, you pirate scum!", but never an "Uh, I'm sorry what?".
"You know a Pirate, guys who rules the sea. You know I'm going to be the one and only pirate king! ".
"Uh yeah, right. Anyway, i'm Midoriya.".
Smiling Luffy spoke "Cool! I'm Luffy!",Luffy's smile becoming wider he continued," King of the pirates.". Luffy rambled on about pirates, out of nowhere he asked a question to Midoriya.
"Do you have a dream Midoriya?", Midoriya's eyes brightened,"Yeah, I want to be the greatest hero of all time! ", Midoriya started rambling on about heroes, they were equal now.
"What a strange dream", Luffy thought. Of course, Midoriya had good intentions, but Luffy had never heard that dream before, Midoriya was one of a kind, Luffy would mostly hear, "I want to be a good Marine". Over the years Luffy had seen what laws and being obsessed with righteousness had done to people, it scared him. Luffy stared into Midoriya's eyes trying to understand him.
Midoriya realized something was off, he stopped rambling, and shot a glance at Luffy, "Are you ok?".
"Yep, never been better!", Luffy exclaimed, zoning back into the conversation.
"Yeah?",Midoriya muttered awkwardly, "Are you here to take the entrance exam?".
Entrance exam, Luffy wondered. Maybe that stood for, "Eat lots of meat!", or "Find your crewmates?", Luffy didn't know. He just responded with a simple yes, and decided to follow Midoriya, he seemed like he knew what he was doing and going.
On the way to this "entrance exam" Midoriya stopped to talk to a girl with short brown hair and caramel eyes. Luffy stopped when Midoriya stopped.
Once Midoriya arrived at the castle looking place, he stopped and murmured,"Uh, this is where we part I guess?", giving Luffy a simple, tiny smile he gushed, "Good luck!". Luffy was confused but still grinned, Midoriya opened up the door to the castle place and entered. Luffy just followed him.
