I was going to do this for Fiyero/Elphaba, but I decided a mad Wednesday would be even more fun! ^^ Lucas needs to watch what he says ;)

Nicknames

"I love you, baby." Lucas whispered to his wife one night as they lay in bed.

Said wife turned her head toward him with an icy glare, "Excuse me?"

"I love you." He repeated, and then realized his offence, but it was too late.

"You called me, 'baby'." Her voice held a tone of disgust, but not the gleeful disgust that she usually spoke in, no, a more angry disgust.

"No I didn't…"

"Yes you did."

Lucas searched his poet-mind, attempting to find something that rhymed with the apparently forbidden nickname, "No, I called you.. uh," but, of course, his mind chose this moment to fail him.

"Do I look like a baby to you? You're only two months older than me, you know. And, you're going to wish you weren't when you're old and wrinkly! If you live to then…" She added as a side note. Lucas was about to beg for forgiveness, when she continued her rant, "And, speaking of babies, if you ever want to have one, you will NEVER call me that ever again, if I let you live. Oh, and I will let you know, tha-" she was cut off by her husband's lips, as kissing her seemed to be the only way to get her to stop yelling.

"I'm sorry." He said as soon as he pulled away from her, "I just thought it would be good to have a few nicknames. Apparently, that one is banned."

"Why do we need petnames?"

"I don't know. I just thought it would be nice to have something just between us."

"You're well aware that I don't like nice things."

"Okay, then I thought it would be deliciously horrible for us to have something special for just us." He re-worded his proposal.

Wednesday turned over to face him completely, "Fine then." She challenged, "Go. Nickname away."

"Alright." Lucas accepted the dare , wrapping an arm around his wife's waist, he placed a kiss on her forehead, "My dark angel." A kiss on her nose, "My firecracker." A kiss to her cheek, "My huntress." A kiss to her lips, "My beautiful, beloved wife."

Wednesday looked up to her husband, with intense green eyes, "That is so hot." She said before attacking him with kisses.

Yeah, my version of Wednesday has green eyes. I have green eyes, so I feel its time for a character that I write to have green eyes :P
