A/N: Artemis Fowl is like one of the characters from my favourite manga: Hatori Sohma from Fruits Basket. So here's what I think would happen if what happened to Hatori happened to Artemis. This doesn't end in the same way though. Oh b.t.w anything in italics is a quote from the work of Takaya-sensei.

'He's cold like snow'
When she met him again she smiled at him like the sun.
She asked him "When snow melts what does it become?"
He replied "It becomes water of course"
"Wrong! It becomes spring!"
She thawed him. Slowly she melted the ice, the coldness that had stayed in his heart so long. She helped him to live.
One day she found him crying and instead of trying to move away to the sun, she listened to the rain pouring out his heart. And at the end of it she smiled softly and said "Just because you see yourself as weak and just because you think you'll hurt doesn't mean you will because... I'm happy I met you Artemis." And he cried into her as they kissed. He felt like he had been saved.
She was his spring and his summer. When she smiled she brought light beyond measure. She was his beautiful Holly.
But it was inevitable that she found out. Minerva. The person who he had to love.
She summoned them before her. And...
"Minerva! Hold on a second! Calm down... STOP!"
"Why would..."
"Holly!"
"Why would I give him to you? I don't need you!"
"Minerva!"
"If Artemis goes blind then It's your fault!"
She fell ill.
All she ever did was cry. An endless rain where the sun had been. Her soul had been broken into a thousand pieces strewn across their floor.
"What's hurting her right now are her memories of you. Her love for you. Isn't it your final duty to free her from that pain?"
Foaly came to free her. Artemis could have done it himself but he just couldn't. He couldn't take the memories that mattered most from the woman who was his everything. Just before she left she cried into him "I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." And then she left him.
He mourned her. His angel, his spring. And yet he prayed she'd be happy.
Years past. So many years. And then as he was on his death bed, among her people, she came to him, young as ever. She was crying and all she could say was a single word "Artemis. I....love you." They embraced for one last, final time. "Thank you Artemis. It's all right now." And he was gone forever. She had remembered her love before it had left forever. She took her blade and sank it through her left eye; blue from Hybras. And she cried tears for her lost one.
