Song title prompt: You Found Me – The Fray

Hotch had been looking everywhere in the building for Prentiss. He was already worried about her but this was causing more worry. He knew what today was and he wanted to make sure that she knew he was there for her if she needed him. He was just about to give up looking for her for now when he heard crying coming from one of the closets.

He opened up the door and looked for the light switch. Once his hand hit it he stuck his head in and saw Prentiss laying on the floor curled into the fetal position with tears pouring out of her eyes.

He walked in and shut the door behind him and turned off the light. He hoped that nobody would find them.

"Prentiss I have been looking everywhere for you." Hotch said as he sat down beside her.

Prentiss stuttered through her tears. "You..…me… Do you need something?"

Hotch sighed and gently placed his hands under Prentiss and lifted her up to where she was on his lap. He started rubbing his hands up and down her arms.

"No, Emily I don't need anything. I wanted to check on you and see how you were doing. I was worried about you when I didn't see you in the bullpen." Hotch said as he kissed Emily's hair.

It was at times like these that he curses himself for not being able to tell her how he felt. He wanted too no he didn't want too he need to tell her how he felt. She made his job easier just by being there. Really how hard is it to tell her that he loves her and needs her? He wanted to beat himself on the head.

"I'm fine Hotch. I promise." Emily said.

She was blushing because of how she was sitting on his lap. She couldn't believe how affectionate he was being. She loved the feel of his arms around her. She loved the way he made her feel. He made her feel cherished, loved, protected, and like she was part of a family. She just wish she could tell him how she feels about him. If one thing she knew it was that life is too short not to take any chanced.

Hotch looked down at the woman in his lap and kissed her hair again. "No, Emily you're not fine. If you were fine you wouldn't be hiding in here crying. You know that you can come to me don't you? You don't have to shoulder everything on your own. I'm here anytime you need or want me."

Prentiss looked up and found Hotch's eyes in the dark closet. "Why Hotch? Why are you here for me?"

Hotch took in a much needed breath as he said "I'm here for you Emily because I love you. I have for a while now. I don't want you to hurt. I hate seeing you in pain and I hate seeing you alone. I want you with me at all times. I want and need to know that you're alright. I love you Emily."

Prentiss smiled as she heard Hotch confess his love to her. "I love you too Hotch. I know that you're here for me if I need you and that makes me feel even more loved. I think I'm alright now. Maybe we could do something tonight?"

Hotch put his finger under Prentiss's chin and lifted her head up and then bent his own head down and gave her a tender but passionate kiss. "We most definitely can do something tonight."

Emily grinned and wound her arms around Hotch's neck and ran her fingers through his hair as she put her lips on his and claimed a heated kiss.
