Chapter 1
Glaring at the slender brunette, Toby Cavanaugh crossed his arms.
He had hated her for as long as he could remember.
It started because she was friends... like best friends... with the Queen Bitc— I mean Bee at Rosewood High. Alison DiLaurentis.
She was the cause for it all.
The sexy blonde that everyone had something to want from.
If there was anyone he hated more that Spencer Hastings, it was Alison DiLaurentis.
"Okay, would you stop looking at us?" Spencer snapped, flicking her head upwards. She flipped her hair dramatically. "We don't need more creeps watching us."
Oh, another reason to hate that posse: they all supported some false rumor about him watching girls change in their windows. He wasn't the monster they thought he was, and he was so freaking sick of people believing those bitches!
Even through the noise of all the people talking at the Rosewood Mall's foot court, he could hear those bitches loud and clear.
"Why don't you stop being so full of yourself?" he snapped.
She raised an eyebrow.
"You let Ali run you around like you're her pet dog," he further explained. "Woof woof, doggy. Better get back to your master. She's waiting to command you to do something else obnoxious."
"Oh, you're hilarious," she sarcastically said. "You're just jealous because I hang out with her, and you spend your weekends with those losers Caleb Rivers and Lucas Gottesman playing the Wii together."
"Don't talk about them like that!" he yelled. "Spending all that time with Ali is rubbing off on you in the worst ways."
"Shut up," she snapped.
"Spencer, sweetie, why are you talking to Peeping Tom over there?" Ali asked, giggling stupidly. "He'll probably try to pull your skirt down."
"I'd rather kill myself than touch you," he said, turning away.
"Good. You should kill yourself," Alison said, laughing again. "And kid, she's way out of your league anyways, so you wouldn't even have a chance."
Spencer twitched a little. She knew Ali was trying to defend her, and succeeding at it a little too much, but she felt sort of bad. She told the guy to kill himself!
"Ali, maybe you shouldn—" she started.
"Quiet, Spence. This is for your own good," Ali said. "Get the hell out of here, Shaggy. Go play the Wii with your loser friends!"
"Fine, you got your wish, Spencer. I'm out of here," he said, dumping his food court food into the trash and beginning to walk away. "Have fun being a dog."
