I decided that since these were becoming more one shots, and less drabbles, that I'm going to separate them. Plus, we're flooding the Addams Family fandom with musical-verse stories ;)
Diana, the Huntress
Lucas, being new to the city, tended to wander. He, of course, kept a map as to not get too lost, but hardly ever looked at it, wanting to explore as much as possible. He found his walks in the city relaxing, especially around Central Park. However, today, he roamed farther into the park than normal. Lucas found himself deep into the trees, and completely off of the path. He looked at his surroundings curiously, when he spotted a large, crumbling mansion. He was about to go take a closer look, when a pigeon dropped at his feet. With an arrow through it. Lucas stared wide-eyed at the bird, which was now bleeding heavily, panicking, he looked up to see a girl, about his age, dressed in all black, with short black hair and a crossbow.
Instead of running away like he should have, Lucas couldn't help but stare at this girl. She stomped over to him, "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" she asked in an interrogating manner, pointing her bow at him.
Lucas took a step back, holding his arms up in surrender, "Um, I'm, uh, Lucas Beineke, and I was just walking around, I didn't realize how far I had wandered… please don't kill me…" He added in a small voice.
The mysterious girl glared at him with intense green eyes. Lucas kept staring into them, "What are you staring at?" She asked, trying to sound tough, but it was obvious that she had been hurt by judgment in the past.
"Nothing. Its just… you have very pretty eyes."
This caught her attention, she dropped the crossbow to her side, "R-really?" she asked , slightly flustered.
"Yeah. You do."
"Thanks.." She extended her right hand, "I'm Wednesday, by the way. Wednesday Addams."
Lucas shook Wednesday's hand politely, "Lucas Bieneke." Then realized something, "But I guess you got that when you were pointing a crossbow at me." He smiled, silently telling her that he was joking.
"Oh, yeah, sorry about that, I guess most people aren't used to that."
Lucas shrugged, "Eh, no harm done."
An awkward silence lapsed between the pair for a moment, until Wednesday spoke up, "So.. .how long have you lived around here?"
"About a month. I'm going to school here. You?"
"My whole life." Wednesday answered with a small hint of longing. "So, where are you from?"
"Ohio." Lucas racked his brain for some sort of topic. He didn't know why, but he was desperate to continue talking to this girl. Then, he looked up and saw the mansion again, "Have you ever been to that house before? It looks abandoned."
"I live there." Wednesday deadpanned.
"Oh… um, sorry. I didn't mean anything by it, I was just wondering, and, uh…" Lucas would have stood there rambling all day if she hadn't cut him off.
"Its okay. Mother would be thrilled to hear that."
Lucas' eyebrows rose. Most people would be offended if someone said that their house looked abandoned, "Really?"
Wednesday smirked, "My family's a little… different. See this?" she gestured to her all black, gothic outfit, "This is not rebellion. Rebellion for my family would be all pink." She looked nauseous at the word 'pink'.
Lucas smiled at this, it was refreshing to meet a girl like this. "So, um… Can we hang out some time?" Lucas asked nervously, "As friends." He added quickly.
"Oh, um, sure. As friends…" Wednesday grabbed her phone out of her jacket pocket and handed it to him. Lucas took the black rectangle and entered his phone number, then gave her his to do the same.
"Well, I should get back. I guess I'll see you later, Wednesday."
"Yeah. See you later, Lucas." She said as he turned to walk away.
"Why am I feeling this way?" Wednesday thought, feeling her heart race in a way she never had before.
