-1Maps - SasoTen
(This fic was meant to be read while listening to Maps - Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I'd greatly appreciate it if you did, because I think the song conveys the meaning of Tenten's feelings in this fic. I stole one line from it, "Wait, they don't love you like I love you." and that is all:D )
He had left…packed up everything and walked out the door. Sasori was gone, just like that…for business, so he claimed. He had never said "I love you" and he had never promised anything of the future, so who was Tenten to get her hopes set up high? The suitcase she had shoved things in was waiting by the door, and a note to her roommates was on the kitchen table. Neji and Lee would understand…well…maybe not Neji, but Lee would help him through it.
The train station was packed, and she searched through the crowd rapidly, looking for his distance red hair, and short frame. He was there, long black coat billowing in the wind from the other engines, and anxiously awaiting his transportation. "SASORI!" Tenten ran to him and collapsed into his chest, her hands frantically touching every part of him, memorizing and trying to savor the feeling of him. "Tenten?! What is it?"
"Sasori…please…don't leave me, I love you."
"They love me too Tenten, that's what you don't understand…I've gotta go, I need this job!" The train had pulled up now, the sliding doors gliding open, allowing the red head entrance. Sasori tried shaking her off, but the desperate girl's clinging was too strong. "TENTEN! Get off me, I've gotta go!"
"WAIT! PLEASE!"
"NO TENTEN, LET ME GO!"
"WAIT! THEY DON'T LOVE YOU LIKE I LOVE YOU!" He was fighting her off now, eyebrows creased in annoyance. "I know you love me Tenten…and…maybe if it had been another time, it could have worked. But I really have to leave!" Tears poured down her face, and she slumped to the ground, against her suitcase. "Can I…come with you Sasori?"
"W-what?" The train conductor was speaking, something about 5 minutes to departure. "I love you so much Sasori…I'll do anything to stay with you…please…wait…"
"…no Tenten, I really can't let you do that." He stepped backwards, into the cabin and waved. His raised hand fell to his lips, and he extended it out, blowing slightly. Tenten sobbed harder, words failing her. "Wait…please…say…you love me…stay with me…" The train pulled out of the station, making Tenten's last memory of Sasori: A hand, a pair of lips…and a long grey train.
