[Never written something in Rossi's POV, so here you go (:

Super short one-shot, hope you enjoy.]

"The worst feeling is helplessness" -Stephen Push

It was painful to watch her.

Rossi looked at the usually fearless woman who now seemed to be falling apart.

But what was worse, was that nobody seemed to notice.

She'd been fine, of course. She was always fine. But somehow, he was the only one that saw how much this was tearing her apart.

He saw as she slowly brought her hand up to her face, putting her hair behind her ear, then looking down to her book again. His heart broke at that. To someone else, it would've seemed like an ordinary action, a normal reflex.

It was. But just the way she did it, the way the action was devoid of her usual spark, of her usual attitude almost made him lose it.

She was falling to pieces, right in front of their eyes, and no one was helping her.

He'd tried, god help him, he'd tried, but she'd just pushed him away.

Now he just dropped hints, pleaded, and waited for someone else to notice, hoping they would try too. And that maybe she would let them in - god knows she needed someone. But he doubted that.

She'd always been guarded, to say the least.

But Rossi just wanted to help. He wanted to wrap her in his arms and tell her that everything was okay, even though it wasn't.

She was drowning. Drowning in her guilt, her sadness, the rejection. And nobody fucking noticed. She was hanging on though, for now. She was fine. But her eyes told a different story. She was barely hanging on. And, he knew, she would have to let go sometime.

Dave was terrified that she would just go under one day. That she would just break down, right in front of them, and that he would be the only one who saw it coming. And then, he would surely blame himself.

Damn, he already did. He should be able to do something, anything, to help her.

But he can't. All he can do is watch, and hope.

Hope for a miracle.

[I never actually mentioned a name for the woman, so use your imagination guys.

Any guesses?
