"Uncle Boing!" Maya yelled as she busted through the front door with Riley.
A little disappointed to see no one else in the living area but Topanga, she turns to Riley.
"Where's my Boing?"
"I'm not allowed to tell."
She turned around and slid on the couch next to Topanga.
"Mrs. Matthews, my best friend's mom. Where's my Boing-y Boing?"
"How do you know he's even here?" she questioned.
"I have the superpower to sense Boings from a mile away, like I know that Bucky McBoing-Boing is in the bay window, waiting," she said with a flip of the hair. "It's blessing and a curse."
"Oh, really?" Riley asked getting all excited.
"Yup, but you can only go if you tell me where the Boing is."
Riley alternated looks between Maya and her mother.
"Sorry that I can't be the strong warrior princess you are. He's in my closet!"
Maya yayed all through the apartment until she got to Riley's room.
"Uh-oh," Josh said as Maya jumped on him.
"Boing!"
Riley rushed into the room after her and looked at the bay window and frowned.
"Gasp! You lied."
Josh walks out of the closet with Maya on his back as Cory came around the bend.
"What happened? I thought you said you wouldn't tell her!"
Riley didn't care how much she seen Lucas, she would give up anything to see him.
"I know, I know," she sighed. "But she said Lucas was here!" she said trying to give him an explanation.
"Get out of her head!" he yelled grabbing Riley's head and screaming into her forehead.
The girls were about to follow Cory and Josh out the room when they stopped.
"Maya, Riley. Stay here."
"Wha?" they say in unison.
"I need to talk to Josh."
Riley and Maya share looks as Maya jumps off of Josh's back.
Josh follows Cory out of the room as the girls escape through the window.
They soon were perched on the living area fire escape. They pried the window open and listened in.
"Josh, why would you want to leave NYU?" Cory questioned. "I thought you had a good life there."
Riley looked at Maya who was about to tear up.
"I mean, don't get me wrong, I do love it here and I'm glad to be near family but…"his voice trailed off.
"But, what?"
"Maya's a dash of a, um, distraction."
Cory jumped up on to the bench of the dining-room-kitchen, speechless.
"I know what you're going to say but-,"
"I'm totally fine with it," Cory said cutting him off. "But by law, you're a little too old for her."
"Yeah, I know, and I'm willing to wait it out. I'm in it for the long game."
Outside the window, Riley and Maya share a look.
"Maya, you okay?" Riley asks rubbing Maya's back.
"I'm fine," she says wiping away a cascade of tears. "I'm in it for the long game."
The girls leave the fire escape and return to Riley's room.
