Devour

Takes place during Teiko-arc
Akashi-centric

Akashi Seijuuro had always been aware of another 'him' inside. The other Seijuuro who was constantly waiting. Biding for his time to completely devour the main personality between them. To become the main personality.

This Siejuuro was cunning and manipulative in areas that Akashi was not. He was the ideal heir created by Akashi's father. The emperor of a world in which Akashi was but a peasant. A failure. A disgrace.

Seijuuro manifested sometimes. Times when Akashi was caught off guard and unaware. Times like when he found himself plotting to get rid of one Haizaki Shougo to free a position in the Generation of Miracles for Kise Ryota, for example.

And finally, there was one last incident that triggered the end of Akashi Seijuuro's host personality. The betrayal of Fate. The anger and speechlessness that came from the defiance of Atsushi. It had caused a waver in Akashi's belief in his abilities. The very mistake that started the end of everything that he knew.

In that instance, Seijuuro had finally overpowered him completely. Obliterated his control. Taken over his whole self. Akashi was gone. Never to be seen again by a single soul for possibly many years ahead.

A/N: I was really inspired by this Kurobasu Niconico video I saw on Youtube one night while on the bus back and the feels for the Teiko arc just came rushing back inside of me. The video really made me think "what was the other Akashi thinking when the current Akashi that we know of, the Rakuzan personality replaced him?" and whatnot. Thanks for taking the time to read this short drabble!
