"Um, is it your birthday today?" There was no reply. "Um, Tai-"
"Yes."
"Oh good!" she smiled, "If it isn't too much trouble, would you please wait five minutes after work?" No response. "I would appreciate it if…." She trailed off.
"Maybe." His response made her smile even more.
"Thank you Kuchiki-taicho!" She bowed and left.
She opened the door and spotted the 6th squad captain behind his desk putting the last of his paperwork away. "Why did you want me to wait?" he said, calmly without looking up.
"Umm, I heard your zanpakuto resembled cherry blossom petals when it was released, so I thought you might like cherry blossoms and I got you this," she said, nervously holding out a small cherry tree in a pot. His grey eyes looked up. She placed the tree on his desk and hurried out of the room.
Before the door closed, he heard her say," Happy Birthday, Kuchiki-taicho."
Kyo: I had this story in my head for awhile, I wanted to write it down. I think it's cute, that's kinda why I wrote it down. I do wonder what Byakuya would do if someone did give him a birthday present. I hope you liked this even though it was short. Please tell me what you think. I would love to hear what you say.
