We have a new King-centric ffic on this site thanks to Kikay The Shark Girl 22, because she loves him to death.

This story is based on the events in Tekken 2 and Tekken 3.

Disclaimer: I don't own Tekken. They all are Namco's.

An Oath on the Grave

The Man behind the Mask

That stormy night was already over, but it wasn't enough to wake him up at all until he barely noticed a man in the shade, raised next to his bed, despite a temperature weakening him. The child strove to speak as the man's hand touched his forehead, however he just coughed softly.

That child's life would probably end in just a few hours. Such thought seemed to be more lethal to the Jaguar Man than the illness itself, then his eyes wanted to show pain through tears, even making him forget his wrestling victory that night.

Only the middle-aged people and the staff in the orphanage knew King's features, those that involved the children in mystery. They used to stroke his mask when he visited them, wondering how he looked for real; however they had never dared to ask him to take it off. Sometimes beauty is a piece of mystery as well.

This time was different; maybe fate had set a trap for some unclear reason, and he should show himself, not as the fearless jaguar but as the man behind the mask, that gentle man who had also been another child once in the orphanage.

King soothed as his tears were running down his face after taking the mask off. The child looked surprised at first, but he gave a hint of a curious smile then.

King's skin was like cinnamon, his thick eyebrows and dark hair. Despite the child having never seen his face before, he looked familiar. So, he took King's hand like the Jaguar Man gave him strength and the end never came.

Blood for Blood

Amazingly that child survived the illness. Years passed, and he was a man in his early twenties by then, looking after the children in the orphanage. However, he still remembered the man without his Jaguar Mask, who clearly had become his role model, worthy of respect.

King's unexpected death shattered his soul since he didn't have a chance to return him the strength of living.

Devastated, he locked in his room for several days, not caring about the calls of the children to come with them in their usual games, and such a thing concerned the staff in the orphanage as well.

Alcohol wouldn't be his ruin; the young man knew how hard King tried to get over from his addiction. It was rage that struck him as an answer when he broke a mirror into pieces, then looked at his bloodstained fist, here the origin of his revenge.

Reborn

The road to the graveyard was long, but he didn't care since would swear in for life. So, he kneeled on King's grave to make him witness his revenge.

"I will do everything to make whoever to pay for this sin, master." He whispered, with the Jaguar Mask in his hands.

King had been a spiritual man once before to become a wrestler.

Silent, he closed his eyes to feel himself ready and change his own fate. But he rose at once as felt someone else was behind him. Then, he met another Jaguar Man's gaze, just his mask was greyish. He attempted to go, however the masked man stopped him, letting the young one know he had been his master's mentor in the past. He also learned from him that some kind of supernatural force had absorbed King's life. Toshin, an ancient god.

The young man shook hands with him to make a deal. A wrestling training for revenge. They both would rise the legend of the Jaguar after his fall. So, the Jaguar Man called him King The Second on his master's behalf.
