Destiny's Call: Conclusion

Jacen woke up in the aptly-titled queen-sized bed that he shared with Tenel Ka. He looked at his surroundings and found his friends and family all gathered up around him with looks of joy and relief on their faces. Pretty much everyone was here; Mom, Dad, Jaina, Uncle Luke, Aunt Mara, Ben, Lowbacca, Eriana, Astro, Womprat (who was still in his astromech form), Cilghal, Tekli, and Tahiri. Closest to him was Tenel Ka herself, who, with a smile that belied her subdued tone, simply said, "It is good to have you back now, Jacen."

The last thing that Jacen remembered before waking up was leaving the previous timeline, where the galaxy had been ruled by the Sith and the Jedi had secluded themselves on Zonama Sekot. Before he managed to get himself back into this timeline, however, Jacen managed to create a holorecording giving Tenel Ka all the instructions she needed to pass on to the Jedi Order so that they would be able to properly counter the Sith threat. Jacen honestly didn't think he would make it through the ordeal of traveling between timelines again.

"How long was I out?" he asked.

"A full year," Cilghal said. "You were in a coma. Everyone around here, including myself and Tekli, were worried that you wouldn't come out. By the time you were beginning to emit visible brain patterns, I called everyone back here to Hapes in case you actually managed to wake up."

"We just arrived last night, and we had been waiting ever since, Jacen," Luke said. "And since you woke up at all, you didn't disappoint."

"The Sith," Jacen said abruptly. He looked to Tenel Ka. "Did you..."

"I did, Jacen," she nodded. "I took it to the Council as fast as I could."

"And?" Jacen inquired.

"We're all here, eh, kid?" Han pointed out.

"We did it, Jacen," Leia clarified. "We won. We beat the Sith. Bulq, Sekava, and the others are all dead. We, the Jedi and the Galactic Alliance, managed to wipe the remnants of the Sith from the rest of the galaxy. We are at true peace again."

"Good, good," Jacen nodded happily. He then laid back in content. "Then it's over. It's all over."

"All thanks to you," Eriana remarked. "If you hadn't made that recording..."

"Trust me," Jacen interrupted. "I'm more than aware of what would have happened, Eriana."

"Speaking of which," Mara said, "there's someone who you have to meet, Jacen."

"And who's that?" Jacen asked.

Mara turned around to the open door that the crowd of people before Jacen's laying form were blocking. After Mara nodded to the door, the crowd parted to either side, and Ari, Tenel Ka's personal aide and confidant, stepped into the room carrying a bundle of cloth. Jacen knew what was in the cloth before Ari handed it to him by gently laying it into his arms.

"She is only a few months old, Jacen," Tenel Ka informed him. "Since you were out, I named her by my own. Hope you didn't mind."

"No, no, that's fine," Jacen said as he looked from his baby daughter back to his wife. "What did you name her?"

"Allana."

"Allana," Jacen repeated as he looked back to his daughter. "What a beautiful name."

Allana's smiling face and cooing was the thing that cinched Jacen's first view of this new peace in the galaxy.

In the depths of the Maw, Abeloth sat impatiently within her dark cave dwelling.

This was supposed to be the time, she thought angrily. My time! And she continued to ponder anxiously. What could have happened? Am I ever to reemerge again?

Something in the Force told her that it was unlikely. In fact, it was probably safe to say that Abeloth would never rise again.

The scream that she let out was only carried out across the entirety of the prison that was her homeplanet; and no more.
