~Make a Wish~
It's the first time I dare writing (I should say translating) in english and it's obviously not my first language, so I have probably made some mistakes. I assume it's still readable but please let me know if it's not. I particularly hate using past tenses and I guess you will figure it out while reading. Sorry about that. I hope you will enjoy it anyway. It's a small drabble about Watanuki and Doumeki and what I think about their relationship. This contains spoilers to the latest chapters but it's really really light.

He had always believed that Yuko would grant his wish when he would be done with paying his debt working for her. He could not have been more wrong.
Indeed, the witch had already granted his wish even if he really hasn't got it.
She had offered him the solution on a silver plate, but he was too stubborn to notice what was standing right in front of him.
Doumeki.
The one who could have chased his demons away if only he had agreed to stay beside him forever.
Watanuki had never understood why Yuko would keep putting the archer on his way. He hadn't understood even when seeing her proceeding like this everyday with her customers. The answer was inside, everytime. They only had to strech their arm to touch it with their fingertips. To accept, to heal at last before everything comes to an end. Badly.
Because people are blind. Especially when it comes to their own flaws, or desires.
Watanuki had never known why the other would keep saving him even if he didn't deserve it, he who wasn't even meant to exist. He didn't get the words, the acts, the gestures. And what he took for rudeness when he was looking at him stuffing himself with the bentôs he brought, it wasn't what he thought at all.
"The taste of what you've cooked depends on who you are, what you have gone through and the feelings you put into it."
Doumeki swallowed this food with appetite not because he was really hungry but because he felt like he was eating some little part of Watanuki's soul, the one and only he would ever manage to reach.
So no, it wasn't rudeness, it was just the reflect of the huge "I love you" he held back, figting the urge to scream it to the world for it wasn't like him to do such a thing. And if he did eventually the seer would run away so far that he couldn't protect him anymore.
Inevitable, just like their meeting. Two intertwined destinies where one was trying to escape on tiptoe but where the other was surely not letting him do that. Doumeki could bear the weight of his hatred for he was already suffering anyway.
Watanuki wasn't tasting Yuko's gift and she would keep him next to her until he realize. And if he doesn't...
Then the future may not be changed, and maybe he would disappear after all.
Lost in the fumes of saké and tobacco, she tries her best to avoid thinking about it.

You can also let me know if you liked it even if it is far from glourious ^^
