They told me that you left and would not be coming back.
I was told that they found a note from you.

At night, I noticed that you would often stare at the sky.
I guess I should have known then that something was wrong.

I was out and you left a note on my pillow.
I came home and went to my room and found it..
I remember the doorbell ringing and the door opening.
The door had opened to reveal a black-clothed police officer.
He asked to come inside.
We let him in and told him to sit.
He asked us to sit.
We did and he told us that he was sorry, but your car was totaled.
I looked at him stupidly.
He then proceeded to tell us you were dead.
He said that you were coming home from a party.
A semi-truck ran the red light.
You never felt any pain.
I looked him in the eye and said that I had a note.
The note read you were going to the library.
He pulled out your wallet from his pocket.
I saw the blood and fainted.
I can no longer stand the fact that you are gone.
You left all too soon and nothing will fill that void.
The day you were buried, the police brought the driver.
He stood there in the pouring rain crying.
I took the umbrella and gave it to him.
He said he was terribly sorry and that he was rushing home.
His wife just had a child and he was going to see his son.
He said your car came out of nowhere.
There are unanswered questions that will never be answered.
I miss you so much and I know I will see you once again someday.
