Note of Ze Author: 'Sup, peeps? Not a whole bunch to say but that I wanted to put this story here because I wanted to. Now the characters belong
to Shane Acker! You'd do best to remember that. Enjoy and constructive criticisms.
4 knew she wasn't suppose to be standing out in the open, she would be found easily and it was her idea to have herself and her brother go seperate ways for once.
Was it a good idea? Yes, it has to be! They couldn't afford being found while they were together but it still didn't make her feel better of being seperated for long periods of time. Right now though, 4 needs to find a new place to hide in the Library before-
She heard papers fluttering in the distance, 4 froze before sprinting off to hide in a bookcase, burying herself in manuscripts and texts. She went deeper into the pile as she heard footsteps going towards her direction, the sound paused in front of her but it seemed to be panicking; like it couldn't decide where to go, followed by mumblings.
The cover has been lifted off and before she had time to see who it was, it dove right in causing 4 to jump out. A striped head with mis-matched optics and yarn of hair popped out of the pile and stared at her.
"I didn't scare you, did I?"
4 rolled her optics at the artist, putting hands on her hips as she glared. 6 got the message and held his pen-fingered hands up in surrender.
"Sorry, 4. Too busy looking for a place to hide, didn't know." He said with sincerity.
4 accepted the apology with a smile, holding her hand to 6. 6 took it with 4 giving it a firm shake and pulled him up.
"They're 'round the corner by the water. Find hiding place." He warned, clutching his key while looking around almost expecting them to jump out of the shadows.
4's insides froze.
They! That must mean-
"Hide 4, hide!" He urged in a whisper while at the same time pushing her to a different direction while looking at the other. "Soon." He ran off behind the bookcase, leaving 4 alone again.
She didn't need to be told twice before taking off once more. Out of all the Stitchpunks, 3 and herself are the fastest, though 4 would like to believe herself to be the swiftest out of the two of them. One time, the twins, or the Glove/Scholar Twins which 5 affectionately calls them, raced eachother to see who's the fastest. 4 won but she now thinks that her brother slowed down a bit to let her win. 3 denies it.
The Stitchpunk turned to her right in a small space that conceals her well enough to see who's coming and duck into once she sees them. What 4 doesn't know was that there was someone in the space with her.
She jumped right as the hand touched her shoulder, she looked and recognize the hand as 7's!
"Found you."
4 smacked her face with her hand, looking like she is saying 'do'h!' The other female chuckled.
"You and your brother chose a fun game to play." She remarked, leading themselves out of the space. Before 4, 7 found the other players, 9 and 5 hiding behind books by whatever was left of the Mystery section. "You know, I believe I saw your brother and 6 heading to where you keep your information."
4's head perked and smiled.
"Do you want to-" She wasn't able to finish her sentence since 4 zoomed to where 7 said they were. She knows the area like the back of her hand, finding them would be easy!
Hide-and-seek is a fun game indeed.
