Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph and Zuko sailed through the bright, blue sky as they traveled on Appa towards the Fire Nation.

"It was nice visiting my uncle again. It has been awhile since I last saw him and I just couldn't miss his birthday party." Zuko said to Aang.

"Yeah. It was nice having us all together for a change." Aang replied.

"It was also nice getting away from my duties as Firelord for a day."

"Yeah. You're probably very busy now that you're the leader of your nation." Katara said.

"Sometimes. Other times it can be pretty quiet and not much happens."

They were then met with only the sound of the wind blowing through their hair as the sun warmed their skin. It had been a year since Aang had defeated Firelord Ozai and Zuko had taken the throne. The world was met with a prosporus time of peace and not much violence occurred in the world.

A few hours passed in silence as they sped toward the Fire Nation. All of the sudden, the sky began to turn a dark shade of gray as storm clouds gathered.

"It looks like it's going to rain." Sokka pointed out.

"It smells like it too." Toph said.

"If it starts raining we'll have to see if we can find land and take shelter." Aang said as he began to search the vast, blue, churning waters of the ocean for any sort of formation of land.

"We're surrounded by ocean. There's nowhere to land." Katara said. "And the storm's getting worse."

Lightning lit up the sky ahead and thundered boomed, startling the Gaang. The clouds ominously churned ahead in black mass.

"What's going on with the clouds?" Zuko asked.

"I've got a bad feeling about this." Aang stated as they continued ahead on Appa.

It wasn't long before it began to downpour and the Gaang found themselves surrounded by swirling, black clouds. The wind picked up, pelting rain in their faces and slowing down Appa's pace.

"I don't like the energy I'm feeling from up ahead. It feels very ominous." Aang said. "We have to find a way around the storm."

But it was too late. Appa was being sucked into the worst part of the storm. Lightning once again lit up the sky and the loud crash of thunder surrounded them, startling Appa.

"C'mon buddy, we have to get out of here!" Aang encouraged Appa.

Appa struggled, but was unable to free himself from the clouds that we sucking him in like a vortex. A bolt of lightning reached for them, but Appa was able to narrowly dodge it. A few seconds went by before Aang noticed that Appa had blacked out and they were hurtling towards the Earth.

"Appa wake up! Before we crash!" Aang yelled.

No reply came and Appa hit the ground with startling force. It knocked the wind out of the gang and flung them to the ground.

Aang tried to reach over to Katara, but found his strength fading fast.

"Katara!" Aang weakly yelled as he slipped into unconsciousness and was left to dream.
